Hall of Fame odds: Sosa, Bonds, Clemens long shots

This year’s class of MLB Hall of Fame eligible players may be the most controversial in baseball history. Sammy Sosa, Roger Clemens and Barry Bonds all made the cut as first timers in the newly released 2012 National Hall of Fame ballot. But oddsmakers believe their chances of being inducted this year will be tainted by their drug allegations.

The Baseball Writers’ Association of America will cast votes for up to 10 candidates; any candidate who receives votes on at least 75 percent of the ballots will be honored with induction to the Hall on July 28, 2013. Results of the election will be announced on Jan. 9, 2013.
