Covers users win big with King of the Hardwood Contest

The Miami Heat weren’t the only big winners Thursday night.

The conclusion of the NBA Playoffs also awarded skilled Covers Contests users $2,250 in cash prizes and a ton of great Covers Gear in the NBA King of the Hardwood Playoff Contest.

The Grand Prize of $1,000 and a Covers Hoodie went to Nick Imperio – better known as username FBC456 – who finished the NBA postseason with a 99-­55-­1 record (64.29 percent) for 19250 units picking against the spread and total.

"Covers is a fun free contest to play and is even funner when you win,” Imperio told Covers in an email. “After nearly four years of competing, I have finally tasted victory in something."

The second-place prize of $750 went to Mike Olshan from Pennsylvania – AKA deerslayers – who closed the playoffs with a 92-­57-­0 record against the spread and total (61.74 percent) for 14450 units.

“I joined covers about one year ago and I like all the different contest they run,” Olshan said in an email. “Covers has all the information on their website to make these contest fun to play. I will use my winnings to take my family on vacation this year.”

Rounding out the money prizes was third-place finisher nulla, who posted a 99-­63-­2 record (61.11 percent) for 14320 units and takes home $500.

Contestants that finished No. 4 through No. 20 get exclusive Covers Hats.
