Memorial-winning Tiger falls to 6/1 to win U.S. Open

Tiger Woods was set at 12/1 to win the U.S. Open before the weekend.

By the time he won the Memorial to tie Jack Nicklaus with 73 PGA Tour wins, the LVH SuperBook had dropped Woods to 6/1. The U.S. Open will be played June 11-14 at The Olympic Club in San Francisco.

LVH oddsmaker Jeff Sherman told Covers that the dramatic fall in Woods' odds stems from action received over the weekend and "highly anticipated action with his second win covering Arnold's and Jack's tournaments." Sherman referred to Woods' win in March at the Arnold Palmer Invitational at Bay Hill and Sunday's win at the Memorial, which Jack Nicklaus founded and hosts.

Woods birdied three of the final four holes Sunday to finish with a 9-under 279 at Muirfield Village.

The LVH lists Rory McIlroy and Luke Donald at 12/1, and Phil Mickelson and Lee Westwood at 15/1 to win the U.S. Open. Rickie Fowler, Matt Kuchar and Jason Dufner all are pegged at 25/1.

Here are the updated U.S. Open odds released by the LVH:

Sabbatini named most improved PGA Puttssss !!! Unable to hold Two stroke lead after 13 ?! ...Chunkin' a 5 wood fairway shot way short of the green !? ...Purposely Covering Ricky Fowler with pitch dirt on practice range !!!...125 - 1 to win US Open ...LMAO...Putttssss !!! Ricky Fowler @ 25 - 1 + Justin Rose @ 30 - 1 merits $$$ consideration @ US open...
