with 3 mins left, they were at 108. And it was a 10 point lead. OSU started fouling after their next hoop. Never got closer than 6, And instead of jacking up desperation 3's, OSU went in for the uncontested layups. This isn't the NCAA Tourney..or even the finals of the Pac-12..friggin let it go Beavers. What a joke |

After watching the replay a couple of times, it sure looks like he was trying to drive to the hole. But, the screen was not very good, and the Jayhawk who was defending the screener, got in the way as well. A serious roadblock for Curry. I don't blame him for bringing it back out. But, it was obvious they had no backup plan, other than Curry creating his own shot.

Obviously peopel who think the ACC got screwed, think Va Tech got screwed.
With one win against the top 50 and bad losses against Richmond, Old Dominion, and Penn State..it's really hard to argue that they had a profile worth getting in.
Just because they played UNC tough yesterday, people want them in.
Fct is, they did play good teams..and lost them all, before Saturday's win vs. Miami. It can't be enough to get in, to play teams close.

what sucks is, (at least if you had the over) is that Illinois did not foul once in the last 3 minutes.
Gtown started fouling with 2 minutes left last night, and a better comparison is UC-Irvine, who started fouling with 3 minutes left last night. And they were down 17.
At the very least, you would expect the Illini to be more agressive in trying to get steals, and foul that way.
But, as was mentioned many times, they gave up long before those last minutes. Nice job, Illinois.

Ok..here are a few. They have 2 awful losses at home in G-Webb and San Diego. They have zero road wins against top 50 RPI. They went 5-10 vs top 100 RPI. They only have 2 signature wins(Tenn and Vandy)..and Vandy returned the favor with a 40 point drubbing. Yes...they have gone 9-3 in their last 12. But, who have they played in those last 12? Georgia 3 times, Vandy, Arkansas, Tenn, Auburn, Alabama, LSU, Arkansas, SC, and Florida. Arkansas is the only decent team on there, that they beat. And that was at home. And of course, the whole Patterson thing. There are several reasons they might not make it. Doesn't mean they won't make it. But, trust me..there are plenty of reasons. |

This should help your argument. They didn't beat Cincinnati at home. In fact, they were mauled 62-39. So, 12-3 at home are the Mounties

I work for a news station here in Cincinnati, and on Tuesday, we interviewed Mick Cronin, UC head coach. When the reporter mentioned something about Mason, Cronin said he wasn't playing.
You would hope that if he is saying that, it's true. Or if he doesn't know, he isn't preparing for the Red Storm's best player.
Wouldn't take it as gospel..but, I would hope the head coach would know if he is gonna say it on camera.
