I always tip, comped drinks/food or purchased. You should not be playing or eating if you can't afford the tip.
Stay with me this might be lengthy! :) Last night I received horrible service at the munch bar next to the poker room in Caesars about midnight. After a lonnnggg day of playing Baccarat, not winning at that :( . I was tired of the noodles and stuff they had available to the players so I ventured over to the other side of the casino for a nice" fattening bad for you" burger. I proceed to the small bar area to get take out. I sit down next to this couple having a conversation with a menu in front of them. Mind you there is a girl and guy, workers having a conversation right there. I think to myself, maybe neither one of them is the bartender to take my order. I just sit and wait playing on my phone, look up a few scores. Then ask the couple next to me if I could look at their menu so that I could be ready to order if and when the person came. I would say about 5-8 minutes waiting. The girl that was JUST in front of us finally acknowledges us! Here, I was waiting for the bartender to return and it was them the whole time that could take my order. She asks me am I ready to order? I ask the couple next to me if they had ordered, no surprise that was a no as well. I kinda mumbled under my breath "oh wow" So I let them go first. She took their order and then walked away from me! We all laughed out loud at this point. I don't know what she needed to do that was so important to leave after their order and come back to me two minutes later? Anyways I got my order in finally.. I use to work in a fine dining restaurant back in my college days so I am all about service, no how big or small the restaurant. I don't expect water or a drink but it would of been nice to ask if we would like anything else or water to drink while we waited? am I wrong? Maybe even a hello or how are ya at the beginning? So I sit and wait as the guy and girl have their own personal conversation behind the bar totally ignoring us. Finally after exactly 16 minutes, yes I timed. I was curious. She went back and checked on my food and came back with it. I'm like yes I can finally leave. She hands my the check, I had her my Diamond card and DL .. she says something under her breath huffing and puffing and then says to me why I didn't say to her that I was planning on using my rewards card to pay.. now she has to reprint a receipt . Now, I am generally a patient quiet person. At this point I decided to say something. I told her "when would I have had a chance to say anything beside when you put in my order?" We haven't exchanged no more than two sentences since I've sat here... 15 minutes to order then another 16 for my food. I have been more than understanding and patient while you two had your own conversation. She prints me a receipt to sign. I reach into my pocket pull out my knot of big bills, flip through them stop at the last bill act like I was going to ask to break it ... reach into my other pocket and give her the buck and change I had from earlier from my coffee and walked away. I was pissed at this point. Normally even with a comp meal ($20) I would of left at least 5-10 bucks for some of you flamers on this forum. But this made me smile and felt better about the whole situation as I walked away. p.s. the burger and fries were delicious! |

I like the Jets keeping it close... in the first half! haha..
Emotions, bounce back game on National TV, lights, MNF. They play good tight ball in the first half and then just kinda fizzle away in the second.. ie 49ers game. The Jets completely laid down after the first score of the 2nd half in the 9ers game plus that early INT and you know what the outcome to that was BUT for the most part it was 7-0 the first half and a last minute FG to make it 10-0 maybe 13-0 but missed a FG. But they only had themselves to blame for those, 2 fumbles ..the TD the 9ers and Smith had a nice put together drive with great playcalling. So most will probably be tainted of what happen last week and only look at the final score but all games they come out full steam ahead but lose it quick come second half. I will take the Jets with a week to regroup, coaches emphasizing about "taking care of the ball", turnovers killed them. Jets 1st half for me in a close one, second halfffff hmmm not so much :) - Good luck everyone! Great season of football so far! K at FantasySundays.com |

Gonna be a very exciting game to watch either way.. betting the under in a well managed game from Texas. Should still be a lot of points and action packed but no where near the inflated total bc of last weeks results. GL to everyone.
4/5 punts this game and I have a good shot at the under! hahaha.. |

Teased the under with the home dog. Felt it was a smarter, higher percentage wager now that the line went to 2.5. I will take a touchdown and scoring possession for the home team at +8.5 and a in FG kinda game! haha
Kolb cools off this week. Rams rank near bottom of the league against the run while their pass defense ranks in the top 10. Based on the typical TNF games.. AZ will favor the run more tonight keep the clock moving and try to exploit their weak run defense. STL lose at home came because one guy beat them on the ground, RG3. 20 of those points came from his legs. Both teams average slightly above 2 red zone appearances a game. AZ converting 50 percent.. STL at 33% .. So even if they make it that far down the field tonight I still have a good shot at a FG! haha.. Good luck to all! K@fantasysundays.com |

As I have said before.. teams that play on a short week tend to keep to the basics, pound the ball, short passes and keep the clock moving, end the game as soon as possible to rest up then 10 days of prep for their next game. Been riding the Under on the Thursday games as the public keeps betting it over to make it easy with the inflated lines. This week looks right on at 38 right now :( I guess the books are learning.
However, this week I feel like this the TNF game could be a messy, bunch of turnovers, sloppy defense kinda game to push it over..just a feeling though. I was hoping for a line of 41/42 to make it a 7/8 scoring possession type game for a more "comfortable" under bet. Hmm.. I will wait till kickoff to see where the public falls.. then either pass on the game or bet the under. I do kinda like STL dog at home, no travel. These two teams no each other well, so not much prep needs to be done. AZ coming east after an emotional win. |

Bellagio did it smart.. and put the prep station right near the bar, sportsbook and poker room so they don't have to walk far to get them.
Yes take care of your waitress! My favorite pass time is playing poker while waiting for my friends visiting or whatever group I have hosting in town to get ready. I play tight.. and drink up! GG on the rocks is my drink of choice and I tip 3 bucks EVERY TIME, I have no issues paying 3 bucks for GG than $14 in the club/lounge we are going to. The cocktail waitress always makes sure I have one on her way back to and from regardless if its her "taking orders" run or not. And I always get grey goose, and yes you can tell the difference :) Have fun on your trip! |
