might as well go try and convince a bookie that the superbowl is actually next week and you want to put $50 on Green Bay. As a Leafs fan, The Bruins have that division tied up already and so long as they dont have any major long term injuries then they should walk it. The habs are like their goalie (Price) which is way too inconsistent, the Sabres are a one man team...too bad their goalie cant score. The leafs and Sens arent gonna win the division let alone make the playoffs, although with a win tonight the buds will only be 7 points out and COULD make a march into the post season if they have an incredible turn around but that is unlikely.

...my picks: Toronto @ New York Islanders. Leafs. despite adversity in the locker room, if the leafs win, as scary as it sounds they will only be 7 points out of a play off spot and the team will be pretty pumped up for this game after a good win last night. The Islanders arent a great team at the best of times and I think Kessel should finally break out of his little goal drought tonight with a big game, although Tavares has owned the leafs in recent meetings. Columbus @ Pittsburgh. The pens will take this game. They trashed the jackets the last time out, and even with Crosby and Malkin out lately the Pens have been on a roll. Buffalo @ Tampa Bay. Think the Bolts offense will explode in this one. Ryan Millers been carrying the Sabres for YEARS on his own, but one man can only do so much against one of the best offensive teams in hockey. Tampa Bay are also rolling with a 40 year old goalie who MIGHT just turn up what we call "drunk" for the game.

Shouldve been at least 3-0 up at one point in this game. Terrible fans, Boring ass team. Whenever I watch them, they'll score a goal, and then sit back for the rest of the game and not do F*ck all the rest of the game thinking that one goal is somehow good enough.
The amount of time Danzel gave away the puck in his own zone so far this game is ridiculous considering he's supposed to be a good player.

Took the coyotes in this game. Probably a bad mistake though. Considering they're a terribly run franchise and I just cant stand watching them especially at home let alone pulling for them. Gonna be a long night but hopefully we hear that stupid god-awful goal siren they've got go off a couple times.

betting on the NHl is like flipping a coin. Never know when someone's gonna have a drunk goalie, or if a teams gonna take a stupid penalty with 45 seconds left to let the opposition come back, or both teams in a game just sit back and wont even look like trying to score(which is probably the most frustrating thing).

Colorado has won the last 5 meetings I think with St. Louis. Think Seahawks got it right with Boston as well. Think the Leafs might pull out a win somehow in carolina, but thats if you're feeling really adventurous. Being a Leafs fan its been hard times lately, but I every now and then I get this thing in my head telling me they'll win, and whenever Ive had it , they do. kinda weird.
Anyway, Im probably gonna be throwing on a proline for TOR @ CGY UNDER 5.5, COLORADO, and CALGARY along with Man Utd and Liverpool in the English Premier League. $10 pays $117.20

alright so Ive been struggling lately, but I did go 3/3 on my parlay yesterday (TB, Nsh v Edm U 5.5 , Buf) and am now just waiting on Chelsea to beat Bolton this afternoon to cash me in.
Anyway, tonight I think there's some good picks out there and money to be made. Toronto @ Carolina - UNDER 5.5 Two boring/mediocre teams at best playing on a Monday night = UNDER. Nashville @ Calgary - FLAMES Flames coming off of a big win against Vancouver on Saturday night and they'll be looking to get back into the playoff race here. Nashville have been playing good lately, but they did just do an extra period + shootout in Edmonton last night and I think they might be a bit tired for this game. St. Louis @ Colorado - AVALANCHE I always like betting Colorado at home whenever Budaj is playing. TBH He doesn't have a top knotch record, but whenever I make a play on the avs and he's playing I win. Anyway, Colorado have also won the last 5 meetings against the Blues and I would think this nice little trend will continue. Might decide to make this a parlay as well along with Man Utd and Liverpool tommorow and Wedneday in the EPL. BOL everybody. |

is a complete joke. I had a parlay last night and all my games won and I was waiting on the SJS Vancouver game. I picked Vancouver because I felt they're one of the best teams in the league, against an inconsistent sharks team. Of course, the Nucks come out and score a goal right away, then after that its like they literally fell asleep on the ice and didnt do shit for the rest of the game. Luongo was a brick wall between the pipes and yet for whatever reason the supposed "hottest" line in hockey couldnt create shit especially on the powerplay. How am i supposed to call that .
Then I go and put money on the UNDER and Buffalo today. Of course, being typical, there's already three goals with not even 10 mins gone in the first period in Ottawa (figures), and New York Isles (the crappiest team in hockey) seem to have gotten Ryan Miller drunk before the game and are already up 2-0. Maybe from now on I should just think up the wildest shit that I can think of happening , and bet on that, instead of making logical, sensible picks based on teams recent form, stats, and any current injury's. Unless someone can enlighten me if Im missing out on something while looking at teams when making picks then maybe i'll just stick to soccer betting which is my main forte anyway.

like those picks a lot except for the Vancouver vs Islanders game. The Nucks are one of the best teams in hockey right now against one of NHL's bottom feeders...althought looking at some of the results this season that calls for a big UD win maybe?! |

thats some interesting info there! TBH though as a Leaf fan I see no way in hell that the Leafs are going to win 4 straight especially on a tough west coast road trip playing back to back against a Sharks team who boast a top line who can explode at any minute. For dogs thought Defo liking the Habs and the Panthers and those picks look pretty solid. Washington are hardly the best of teams away from home in good times and they are now without winger Alexandre Semin, and the Habs with some solid play and goaltending should be able to take down a depleted Rangers squad. |

So the guys that I work with have been raving on about Florida, MTL, and Phoenix winning tonight, was wondering what everyones thoughts on these games were? I dont know WHY, but I have this unwarranted phobia of betting on AWAY teams. In the NHL this generally loses me a lot of $$ as home team advantage isn't as big as in other sports as all the teams are fairly even and on a given night anybody can beat anyone. Personally for tonight, Im looking at the following: SJS @ Toronto (Sharks) , Edmonton @ Dalls (Stars), Ottawa @ Boston (Bruins), Phoenix @ Columbus (Under). |
