They've played as well as anyone this season, trust me I've watched every second of all their games so far and the only reason their record isn't better is because of goaltending. They've outplayed every team so far. As for losing to good goaltenders: They still scored three goals on Price and four goals on Backstrom. Their goaltending will get better as time goes on with Thomas and Manny. Thomas is a slow starter historically and Manny has not played many games over the last couple years. Needs to get into his groove which he showed signs of doing in a win against Ottawa. Thomas starts tonight FYI I like the Bruins as well |

Let's face it, this is the real opening day.
2008/09 Record: 2-0 (Rangers at Pens last Saturday) 2 Plays tonight: Toronto at Detroit Over 5.5 +100 -Detroit comes out hard, Leafs will grip the sticks a little tight to start. Leafs will finish strong regardless of the score and probably score their goals late. I see a 6-2 game Calgary at Vancouver Flames +110 Flames in my opinion are the dark horse favourites in the west. If anyone challenges Detroit it's Calgary I think. They're deeper down the middle this season and that's really been their achillies heal recently. Tonight will be a tight game and it may come down to special teams. I see a one goal game in favour of the Flames Good Luck Boys. Let's get off to a good start |

No Kobasew, no Savard, no Ference, no Bergeron, no Alberts for the B's =
in NHL Betting
No problem
Even with Sundin and Antro back in the lineup for TO I like the Bruins here at home with good value as well. The Leafs d can't handle the speed and jump that the young guys are bringing for the Bruins. David Kreijci looks like Patrice more and more each game. Even if Sundin's back he'll be up against the premier shutdown defenseman in the league...in his first game back from injury. BRUINS -125 |

only reason I took WVU over 38 for the second half was because they had to eventually start hitting those three's
