Mrquija, Good luck my friend, like I said, I'm not tryin to take anything away from the lions...and I definitely respect you and ktrains loyalty to the lions, I know its been a rough time...but things def. Look like there turning for the better. Good chatting wit ya, an good luck Monday

Mr quija, I agree that 12th man factor will come in to play, maybe the bears have prepared for this with the silent snapcount, maybe not. If not this could be a real issue come game time!..a possible deciding factor in who wins....we will see ...should be a good game

Ktrain, that's a good question, but it would honestly depend on how the games where played, based on this season only, if they packers played the exact schedule, with the same outcome. And the books gave the bears +7, then yes.I would feel the exact same way. Even if they played the exact schedule and completely dominated in every quarter, I would still be unsure of them so far based on who they played. I would still take the bears +7., or jus lay off the game totally. Like I said , I like what the lions have going for them, soon as farley gets healthy, that D will step up even more. There a young team, they def have time on there side, unlike my boyz, lol

Mrquija , thank you sir, this is the most accurate statement on the lions I have heard ..I feel the same way about the lions. Like I said they are headed in a great direction. But I gotta ask u ......would u take the lions -7 without hesitation?

Sir, lol, i understand the definition very well, but no one are boasting the eagles now...its obvious there struggling . So how are they still over rated?? An I never said anything about halftime comeback. But I will agree with you on one thing , and maybe u should kinda take your own advice. Wait 4 more games in the season, before we start rating or overrating a team, I'm sure we will be able to tell by then .... so you think this season so far....by what you have seen. The lions giving the bears +7 opening line is.justified??? (5 dimes opening line) u would take with out hesitation the lions -7?? Honestly

Lol, listen like I said before I understand this is the first real winning season in a long time....awesome! I'm not hating or jealous...,I don't know where ya been I ve heard division title, an superbowl, not jus in media my friend. We will see, that's all I can say. We' ll talk again at the end of the season. Good luck

Sir, firstly, I love your arguments..., but I believe u may be a little confused...let me explain, the Eagles are not the most overated team, the difference between your lions an the eagles is simple. A winning record .People assumed at the beginning of the season that the eagles where a contender without even playing a game. Now I'm sure everyone has his or her own reason for there beliefs, but I bet if we took a poll right now on that same belief( eagles superbowl) I bet it would look one sided my friend. The argument I'm making is on the facts that ...Yes the lions are undefeated...but that doesn't make u a great team. I heard others mention superbowl and division title.if u took the same poll on the lions I bet it would look totally diff. Then the eagles. An in my opinion(my argument) it shouldn't be. Based on what I've seen so far.

Let's not get ahead of ourselves. I'm a happy camper if the Lions make the playoffs. I'm not even thinking Super Bowl. I'm just thinking Wild Card and if a few things bounce right(instead of last year where EVERYTHING bounced wrong) maybe a division title. Look, not many people even gave the Lions a shot at a Wild Card because most of us, myself included, thought the Giants, Eagles, and Falcons would be much improved. Most people figured the two Wild Cards would come from the East and South. Right now I really think the Lions could finish with a better record than all of these teams. I really think they take both from Chicago(as they should have done last season) and I think they split with G.B.(as they did last season). They get the AFC West in a crossover as well. Let's face it, the AFC West is not nearly as tough as the NFC North. They should go 3-1 against the AFC West. This team is very capable of making the playoffs. I have also noticed the Steeler douche bag that started this thread hasn't posted in forever. I guess he thought we were all mindless retards who are incapable of thinking for ourselves and just assume, like him, that the Steelers deserve to be in the playoffs every season. Fuck him. |

I know your all hyped up because this is the first real winning season the lions have had in a really really really long time....and im not tryin to take that away from you. they are a legit team(standard)honestly im glad the lions are doing better, all im saying is that this season SO FAR, I havent seen anything YET to make me say "hey, the lions are going to win there division", or "goin to the superbowl" now if thats what you want me to say...the lions are going to win there division or the lions are going to the superbowl, NO, an NO. The lions are in my top 3 power rankings..once again NO. at least not yet. i like the direction there goin in, and i do believe if they keep it up then they definitly will be contenders..they have potential.. yes calvin johnson is a BEAST, stafford is a possible up an coming elite QB, and the "D" is definitly forming. as for the breakdown of victories over struggling teams... chiefs- started out horrible, not only did the lions smash them, but the bills did as well. vikings- i dont know whats hoing on here, the lead at halftime in every game except for 1. they have seasoned vets and weapons...just not clicking bucs- are similar to detroit in my eyes, young building, making progress cowboys- all i can say is that romo gave this one away. like i said , there moving in the right direction. im happy for them., but i wouldnt claim a boxer is the champ, or say he is the best just because he beat 4 nobodies, i dont care if he knocked them out in the 1st round, put a contender in his face , and then we will see... i think chicago will be your toughest match so far... good luck, and i will give them credit if they win, but i just dont see it Philly is kinda like the vikings, i dont know whats going on

Even as bad as the Lions started out last year they were competative against most teams(almost always without Stafford) and even played the division champs tough and almost beat the eventual champs twice. What's Pittsburgh's excuse? This is what the Steerler fans have come to? Criticizing other teams because they are used to seeing them lose, and now these teams start out 4-0? I bet you think Buffalo is overated too? This thread is a fucking joke. The guy who started it is a fucking joke. Get over your less than expected start and quit hating on the Lions.
first off, I love the intensity, now this is a true fan. secondly, we could sit here and chat all day about why my steelers are'nt doing well...it's obvious. now to the real subject..... I have said before, and ill say it again,i have nothing against the lions. they have improved very much. They look okay. But from what i have seen so far THIS SEASON Does'nt really tell me anything.. they beat 4 struggling teams.....I give credit where credit is do, and i will, if they go out here and smash the bears, or kill the packers i will definitly eat my words. but as of right now i dont see any reason to even compare them to the packers or patriots any superbowl contending team...I havent seen anything ! and to give a opening line of +7 to the Chicago Bears (5dimes) is nonsense, and disrespectful in my opinion. Overrated. Anything that is given too much credit and hype Overrated-To overestimate the merits of; rate too highly and no i would not say that the bills are overrated...i dont see or hear anyone labeling them as a elite team, or a superbowl contender, even though they beat the pats. so thats that, im not a hater in anyway, like i said i give credit where credit is do. Dont come to me talking about Great you are because you beat 4 struggling teams, im sorry, we will find out monday night, and like i said if they smash the bears, then i will eat my words and give credit. now im not saying the bears are great, but i dont think the lions will win by 7, or win at all good luck monday nice comments everyone---

Then why not start a thread saying you like the Bears this week bc you think the lions are overrated and shouldn't be laying 7.
Instead you make this pathetic thread with your caps lock title and a first post that looks like it was written by a 10 year old, all just for the attention.
secondly, if you checked it out, you would have seen that 5dimes opened up at -7, most of the others where -6 -lighten up buddy-lol |
