This thread was entertaining until "jo" hijacked it...

Not sure this year, but past few it has been, which is why Bieber kept getting MVP.

I'm throwing a couple of dollars down on Bradley Beal to win MVP @ 20:1 odds. I think he puts up most points for team Chuck & points = MVP. Just hoping team Chuck gets the W.

My understanding is that it's a combination of super computers and human decision. Computers spit out a number and the oddsmaker tweaks it depending on various psychological angles that can't necessarily be computed, or aren't in the formula. And in response to Earthwake - 1-2 pts is a HUGE difference in most lines. So while you're cocky, you're not very accurate.

Don't really have any experience in building a website myself, but if you're looking to get real basic, check out www.weebly.com
Weebly may not have exactly what you're looking for, but could be a good starting point.

IMO it's really hard to argue either side of this without quantifiable data. To be honest, either hypothesis makes perfect sense, but it's hard to predict the actual outcome of banning guns. I am of the opinion that any semi-intelligent person (which Lanza, and the vast majority of these other mass murderers are) will be able to get a gun w/o much of a hassle. Sure it makes it "harder", but it's really more of an annoyance than an actual roadblock.

Anyone else notice the "feed me" celebration spreading like wild fire this year, where the player pretends to spoon something in his mouth?
This celebration has become an annoyance to me - seems like someone does it after every play. The defensive back for San Fran who ran the ball on the fake punt just did this...I doubt they're going to randomly put you in @ RB now just so they can "feed you".

https://www.cbc.ca/news/world/story/2012/12/14/china-knife-attack-school.html
"No motive was given for the stabbings, which echo a string of similar assaults against schoolchildren in 2010 that killed nearly 20 and wounded more than 50." Murder can occur numerous ways. Stabbing isn't going to be as effective as shooting, and shooting isn't going to be as effective as bombing. Quite simply put, if a deranged human being wants to kill/harm a group of individuals, they are going to do it, no matter the means. The quote above about an incident in 2010 where 20 were killed due to stabbing shows this. |

Thanks for sharing Scal...interesting document to scan.
You mention the penny slots. One thing I found interesting is that their biggest win % is on the penny slots @ 10% whereas the 5/25/$1 slots remain constant @ around a 5-6% win percentage. Any guess on why this is? Worse odds for the player? Fewer people knowing what they're doing?

I'll also give Bielema credit for the defense this year - they had an excellent year, and D is where Bielema has the most immediate impact.

To give him credit for this year's Rose Bowl would be ridiculous, as the team is just lucky to be there. Last year's Rose Bowl's credit goes to Paul Chryst, Russel Wilson, and Montee Ball. Unsure of Bielema's involvement in recruiting Ball, but know Chyrst had a bigger role in Wilson's recruitment. In his first year w/o Chryst the team struggled big time offensively sans this past game vs Nebraska. A lot of that can be expected with the number of new coaches coming in, but also think a lot of that is credit to the influence Chryst had on this team.
