It's probably easier for me to list my strengths because my weaknesses FAR OUTWEIGH my strengths.I get tempted, try and soon addicted to just about everything that comes down the pike. Women, drink, drugs, gambling, fishing, pinball, golf, work, darts, star gazing, food, sports etc etc etc etc AND etc.My only strengths are that I love dogs and hate people

The original Aussie Pink Floyd was 1 of the best shows I have ever seen and heard.Saw them in 2004,and twice in 2005.I would, without any hesitation, rank these concerts as some of the best I have EVER had the pleasure of attending.Visually stunning, and a sound quality that few bands today or in the past could/can duplicate.I too would HIGHLY recommend this show and as THEMUGG stated,"worth every dime".I'm curious to know since the original band broke off into 2 factions a few yeas back, has the quality suffered at all?I plan on attending 1 of those factions,Brit Floyd, at the tremendous Hershey Theater in April 2015.I cant wait..... And wile were talking about tribute bands, "Get The Led Out" is another band thats worth every dime. Live Led Zeppelin done to perfection.

Feel for ya really do that blows, but two guys together on the way to the track with that going on didn't suggest boxing the Tris with that combo?Cmon..darn. And the lottery mention- 497 in NJ is always a good payout st/bx.Hit it many times up there but it people with me in FL now..Once I fly up to NJ,hit the first bar and see it came out the day freaking before for about $300..F me.Popped it a few times on another trip and a few times in FL...And my own fault one day all I had was change in my pocket and did not want to stop at the store and of course it hits...Noticed 236 came out boxed last week in NJ you have it? |

After living 56 years, nothing surprises me anymore although some of the coincidences I have experienced or heard about do blow me away. Here's another 1 that happened to me.(The key here is 236 which I played religiously in Delaware and NJ lotteries which at that time was only 1 drawing at night) A co-worker stopped by for his daily morning donut and nap.As I was getting ready to log into the computer to get a sample # for my morning product sample, he mentioned we should take off that afternoon and go to the track. As I looked thru my wallet,I had exactly $236 in it."I'm in" I said, "I have some vacation hours left, lets go". My sample labeler then spit out sample # 236. "Wow thats odd" said Tim. "236 hit in both the Delaware and New Jersey lottos last night" ... "WHAT..... AHH MAN I didn't have the time to go and play last night". Just my rotten luck I thought as I headed over to the lab with the sample. As I signed the lab book,I noticed my signature entry was on line #236. WTH! this 236 is smoking hot. When I got back to my area,I was about to call my boss to tell him to get the relief operator ready to cover for me that afternoon. Before I could dial the phone,my alarm panel started to hoot and holler. Damit, pump #236 just went off-line...HUH? are you kidding me? all these 236's in a matter of minutes? Crazy. After silencing the alarm and putting another pump online, I dialed my bosses extension... do I even have to say it? Yup,Chucks extension... 236.Theres something in the air I thought as Tim and I walked thru the security gate heading for Delaware Park. When we arrived, our game plan was just to nickle and dime some races from around the country and both pick some horses together for exactas and trifectas and split the winnings. As we were watching a simulcast race,Tim turns to me and says, "We never thought of playing a $3 Trifecta 2-3-6" Ahh man, please invisible man in the sky don't do this to us..... Sadly..it happened...2-3-6 with the 3 longest shots on the board.Payout= $9,792.89. Felt like someone kicked me in the ba77s,ripped out my heart, killed my dog, rekicked my ba77s, then took 1 of my eyeballs out and forced me to eat it....Would've-Could've-Should've...all these 236's and I didn't receive a dime.I guess it wasn't meant to be.

Took me forever to relocate this thread but I finally found it.Something that just happened to my girlfriend and I two weekends ago really blows me away and I had to post it. (Love this type of stuff). As Lynn and I were driving to dinner that Saturday night,I happened to mention some of my favorite childhood friends, the Fitchett boys. Now in the 15 years we've been together, not once,NEVER have I uttered the name Fitchett, let alone talk about these 4 brothers. This was the very first time she has ever heard me speak about these guys. After talking a good hour about the good times we had growing up,we pulled up to the parking lot. Lynn casually mentioned that the restaurant we were heading into,General Sutters Inn of Litiz Pa. was once voted one of the most haunted places in America. As we entered the restaurant, I was still raving about Stevie Fitchett and how sad I was that I lost contact with him and his brothers and haven't seen them in well over 25 years. As the hostess was leading us towards our table I stopped dead in my tracks at the foot of the grand staircase.Lynn stops and says, "Dam hon, your white as a ghost... whats wrong" I replied, "Baby your never going to believe who that guy is walking down the stairs" She says, "NO WAY,don't tell me that is Stevie Fitchett" Yup,you guessed it, Steve Fitchett in the flesh. After a long hug and trying to explain to him what just transpired,we joined him and his wife Barbra for dinner.Needless to say,in the state of shock Lynn and I were still in,we drank our dinner last Saturday night.

More times then I can remember in the 40 years I've been driving. It's a miracle I survived and never had an accident.Young and dumb, thank God no one died with my foolishness back then. You name it,I drove under the influence with it. Alcohol, weed, hash, quaaludes, LSD, mushrooms etc. etc. etc. AND etc. Not so much anymore,it's been many, many years since I've driven well under the influence.Buzzed driving? maybe once in a great wile (a few adult beverages) but nothing compared to my younger days. Never had a DUI, although I was pulled over by local cops a handful of times and never by State or police from other states. One time, back in the late 70's, I was pretty much hammered as I pulled into my driveway.A cop shined his spotlight on me as I exited my car and said, " Ahh man T, I followed you home from Wayout Inn... you were all over the road on East Pittsfield..I was getting ready to pull you over and bring you home. I was just following you to make sure you made it home ok". Ahhh local small town cops, they were the best back then.

Since it's the only game in town,it's not too shabby. The entire staff at DelPark is top notch from dealers to floor mangers to waitresses to everyone in between.I recommend going to the 3rd floor sports book (above the poker room) if your going to watch the games and eat/drink.3rd floor has nothing but football on their big screen tvs while the ground floor has football + horse racing. They offer typical bar food/drinks with bar room prices on the 3rd floor. There are also a couple of pretty good restaurants at DelPark along with some average ones if you don't like barroom fare. Only negative is both the ground floor book and 3rd floor are total madness on a Sunday morning. Crowded, loud, and busy as all he77.The waitresses can get very busy at times so be prepared for slow service sometimes . I recommend using the automated machines instead of the tellers.Alot quicker and no lines. I've been there many, many times (I gotta stay away from those crap tables) and had a blast each time I hung out on that 3rd floor. As gamblerluke said.... check out their website for a view of each weeks cards.

"The Sound of Music" in 1965.The old Strand Theater on the boardwalk, right across from Steel Pier.I remember walking the 10+ blocks from my grandfathers hotel/restaurant,"The Lodi" on Missouri Ave.My parents said my brothers and I all fell asleep about 1/4 way into the movie. Ahh, what did you expect from 3,5 and 6 year olders. We just wanted to go see the diving horse for the millionth time.

I've done probably 175-200 bedbug jobs in my life. From cryonics to heat to chemicals. The freezing method does work for confined areas or just a few pieces of furniture.Heat is the most effective way to irradicate bedbugs.Trouble is,heating is a somewhat expensive treatment. You need the temperature to be at least 120-130 degrees C for 4 hours minimum.(they will start to come out of hiding when it reaches 95-105 degrees) If your treating your entire house,6-8 hours is recommended according to the infestation.(I have rarely seen bedbugs in any room but bedrooms, bedroom closets and living rooms.) Check headboard, box spring, mattress's, clothes, and anything else in your bedroom. You might want to check your couch or chairs where you spend the most time.Wash and dry your sheets, pillowcases, clothes and anything else you see bedbugs in or on.The heat of the washer and dryer will kill any bug plus the larvae.I have seen alcohol in a spray bottle work wonders. It will kill them on contact but it's nearly impossible to kill all of them simply because they hide with the best of them in every little nook and cranny.Heat that permeates the entire room is the best way in my experience. Also, stay away from bedbug bombs and chemicals. Trust me,it's a waste of $$ and time.

"Animals" My favorite under rated album of all time goes to Pink Floyds keyboardists,Richard Wright. His solo album "Wet Dream". Kansas's "Masque" album is not too shabby either along with Steeley Dans "The Royal Scam"

Ahh man how I love food but give me seafood anyday,I'll start off with about 24 steamed clams, then maybe 2 dozen raw.Keep bringing out some oysters on the half shell until I say stop and then bring me a shrimp cocktail. When I'm done with all of that, hold the scallops until I had a cigarette break, then bring those bad boys out.Make sure my Porterhouse is rare and put that 12 ounce lobster tail on my plate also.Maybe some ice-cream or cheesecake for dessert, then go home to nap or get laid.... whatever comes first.

Back in the 1977,a friend and I were going back and forth arguing about some unimportant bullshit for over an hour.As I blurted out,"We need a Guiness Book of World Records to settle this", I hear the back door open.As my dad walks over to us,he tosses a book on the table we were sitting at saying, "look what someone gave me today at work".... yup you guessed it...a 1977 version of the Guiness Book of World Records. My uncle Rocco came to me in a dream months after his death. All he said was "Go ahead and do it" Next day I put $20 on the 50to1 longshot Giacomo to win the Kentucky Derby.Giacomo won and paid $102.80,the second largest payout for a Derby win ever..My uncle Rocco's last name was Giacomo. |
