Do you think your money management needs work? If your bankroll was $400, your max bet should have been $4 units. I don't care how good of a handicapper you are, with any kind of betting proper management of your bankroll is the most important factor in your success. No matter how great of a handicapper you are, short term results can vary dramatically......as you illustrated in your bets. I do want to commend you for your honesty in defeat. |

Betting a percentage of your bankroll that is intelligent and safe is the most important factor in the success of any gambler. I don't care how much you like a play......to bet 50 % of your bankroll on it is dangerous and foolish. |

Whatever system you follow its up to you..Make sure u get 55% out of it..atleast 52 or 53.5% out of 100 % with your total stakes.. Then you are good to go with it What kind of advice is that? This guy has a bankroll of 2.7K. If he were to confine himself to only 40 plays a month (which would be impossible for the average player with an itchy trigger finger unleashed in Vegas with a billion opportunities) and he bet $200 + vig a game (a recipe for disaster because he would be risking 17.3 percent of his bankroll on each wager and would be crushed by the first steak of bad luck or poor handicapping he encountered), at your 55% win rate he would be a winner in 22 of the 40 monthly plays and would bottom line be up only $430 a month. Not in real life! |

The Labouchère system, also called the cancellation system or split martingale, is a gambling strategy used in roulette. The user of such a strategy decides before playing how much money they want to win, and writes down a list of positive numbers that sum to the predetermined amount. With each bet, the player stakes an amount equal to the sum of the first and last numbers on the list. If only one number remains, that number is the amount of the stake. If bet is successful, the two amounts are removed from the list. If the bet is unsuccessful, the amount lost is appended to the end of the list. This process continues until either the list is completely crossed out, at which point the desired amount of money has been won, or until the player runs out of money to wager.[

In my humble opinion, you should reread The Crow"s post and take it to heart. It is apparent that you have never tasted the most bitter of defeats, leaving you alone and broke. You are naive and have no idea what trouble you are courting. If you have been playing offshore for 19 years and have only amassed a bankroll of 2.7K, what makes you think you will do better in this town that eats people for a living?

The question you really need to ask yourself is not is it possible to succeed with a 2.7K bankroll. You need to look deep into your soul and ask yourself what will happen if the worst scenario unfolds. Will you have a life to return to? A job? Can your mind really withstand the loss of your entire bankroll? Vegas is no place to find yourself with no money and no plan. Give it a lot of thought.
