@KeyElement believe it or not I remember your baseball previews and picks back in the day. I always loved your insight. |

Loving Croatia at these odds.
Croatia is an experienced team with a very strong midfield and will know how to contain Japan's transition. Croatia will have the patience to pick the lock gradually, think similar to the France/Poland match, slower 0:0 start after 25-30 mins, but then the inevitable happens. |

Gunneswaran over Pella
Gunneswaran just beat Shapovalov and Shapovalov is no joke on grass. He may not have gotten used to it yet this season and was a little rusty, but he had success on grass before. Gunneswaran is the guy that failed to qualify for RG as a lucky loser because he already booked the challenger in Vicenza. Time for fate to turn around for this fella, who recorded his first ATP level win yesterday. Pella has 9 matches on grass in his career (3-6) the only notable win was the one against Millman two days ago. This doesn't warrant these odds. Gunneswaran had a solid arsenal of shots vs Shapovalov, he endured some strain as the Canadian was trying to come back, and I think he gets another win here, the payout is great, +200. Chardy over Mannarino -145 well worth it. Chardy already got into the grass rhythm this year, Mannarino coming off a horrible clay season for him, he may be a bit rusty in his first match on grass. He's not a bad grass player overall, far from it, but I'm going with superior form here. May add one or two later on. |

this is my card for today.
Giustino +230 Something is wrong with Santiago Giraldo. Year and a half ago he looked like a top 15 material, he seemed physically and mentally strong, I thought he would transform into a top 10 claycourter and will be a top 20-25 player. Now he's ranked 128, he can't beat anyone any more. He's deeply troubled at the moment. Giustino is a challenger level player, but Giraldo has been losing against his profile players this year (Donati, Mathieu, Stepanek, Krajinovic...) I think this Santiago is favored, but the line is too steep, I have to go the other way here, I think Giraldo could easily lose this. Lacko +4 Mahut is a well known grass expert, but he's not getting any younger, and Lacko will hold the fort more times than not. I agree Mahut should be favored, but are we really expecting to see a 6:3, 6:4 kind of game here? Because this is what it takes to beat this line. I'm more inclined to say it's a 6:7,7:6 battle after two, and then Mahut may as well win it, I don't care. Escobedo +3,5 I follow tennis extensively, but I have no clue who Escobedo is. All I know is, Bedene is unstable as they come. And this line is fishy. Bedene is supposed to be a top 60 player going against a guy who is 273 and the line is 1.36? This will be included in a thousand parlays today I'm afraid, and there could easily be tears. All I see is two straight up wins on grass, I say the kid holds his own at least until midway through the match, if not the entire way. 3,5 games, I'll take it, thanks. |

I have checked a dozen places online and everyone and their aunt is on Rajeev Ram.
I'm afraid he's in too poor of a form to be this popular of a pick. This is a typical situation I see every week, people are too eager to pound something that isn't even remotely a good play. I'm taking a small play on Mathieu +2, I anticipate a 7:6, 4:6, 6:4 kind of game. Also may take the over.

Delbonis plays on clay all year. Isner has only played 6 matches on clay this season.
Delbonis is a top 20 player next season. He takes this one 7:6, 6:4.

Monaco/Granollers Taking Granollers here. Monaco is overrated after he steamrolled Becker, who is not ATP level any more and clay is not his surface. Granollers is extremely erratic, he can beat Feliciano Lopez in straight sets or Albert Montanes, but lose to Copil or Sousa. One thing is for sure, this is a pure clay court clash, Monaco has a supreme clay record, but his best days are behind him. He did crush Becker, but he also lost to a very inconsistent Robredo, Donald Young (on clay?!) and Lorenzi. This is not the Monaco of 2012 when he was number 10 in the world and basically beatable on clay only by the top 10 players. It's 2 years later now, and he's past his prime. Don't get me wrong, this is tennis, Monaco is a savy veteran, he can beat Granollers easily in straight sets if everything starts going in. My concern for Monaco here is, he hasn't passed the 2nd round on clay this season, and this is indicative. Granollers will put up a fight, I'm playing the price tag here. Granollers ML 1 unit to win 1.48 units Granollers +2,5 2 units to win 2 units Kohlschreiber/Gabashvili Taking Gabashvili ATS here. All I know is, even if Kohlschreiber wins in straight sets, which I doubt since Gabashviili is a tough out nowadays, on clay, and I don't only mean that because he beat Ferrer, I see one tie break, so even a 7:6, 6:3 Kohlschreiber gets us the W here. Gabashvili +4,5 1 unit to win 0.87 units Melzer/Sousa Taking the veteran in this one. Sousa has hit a wall. Not sure he can win this match, looked horribly against Kukushkin, a player he should've beaten. He has no pulse right now, I'm going for Melzer, who has been in solid form lately. Melzer wins 6:4, 6:2. Melzer -4 1 unit to win 0.94 units Melzer -1,5 sets 1 unit to win 0.94 units

Great card today JT.
You know what stood out to me instantly as I saw the card? Granollers. Same reasons basically. This is definitely a play for me. Klizan can also upset Gulbis, wouldn't be surprised if Gulbis actually is counting on a good RG result. |

Please don't tell me Istomin just had two BPs to make it 5-1 and that he will let Nieminen get back into this one.
0:30 on his serve, 4:2. Jesus Christ this Istomin guy, friggin crazy. Wrecking my nerves.
