ND -2 for the large! The Irish have a team this year that can out physical Stanford. The Cardinal will have one eye on the scoreboard as they need Washington to beat WSU in order to play in the Pac-12 Championship game next Friday. Look for Stanford to rest an injured Love for most or all of the game in hopes that he can be ready for a bigger game next Fridat. This game means more to the Irish. Watch Stanford go through the motions. ND wins by double digits! |

The last two times that Clemson was outrushed this season was against Pitt and Florida State. In those games, Pitt racked up 43 points on the Tigers, and FSU scored 34. Looked for Alabama to pound the ball on the ground, and pass enough just to keep the Tigers defense honest. The Alabama defense has given up an average of 8 points in the last seven games. Look for the Tide to score at least one touchdown on defense or special teams. This game will be close for the first half. But Saban and his team pull away in the second half.... Alabama-31 Clemson-23 |

When a coach leaves for another job, and does not coach the Bowl Game, that team covers the spread just 31% of the time. Just look at Houston. I like Memphis plus the 6.5 points. They might even win the game straight up. |

If the Huskies couldn't handle USC at home in Seattle, then there is no way they will come close against Alabama in Atlanta. Look for Bama to win this game by 24. |

Arizona State (5-6) is still in the running to go to a Bowl game if they beat their rivals from Arizona. Both teams are having a down year. And the Cats are still looking for their first conference win of the season. The Sun Devils have more offensive power, and they will be motivated for their game tonight. Zona stopped playing for coach Rich Rod a few weeks ago. Final Score- ASU: 31 Zona: 24 |

When college football fans talk about the best rivalry games in the country, we immediately think of Ohio State vs Michigan, USC vs Notre Dame, and UTEP vs Houston Baptist. The Miners and Huskies have both been waiting all year for this game. This rivalry game pits brother against brother, cousin against cousin. The cities of Houston and El Paso have been buzzing about this game for weeks. You won't be able to get a haircut today in El Paso because every barber shop and hair salon will be closed because of the big game. The city of Houston has declared today a holiday and most businesses will be closed. The Miners opened up a 26 point favorite on Monday, but the late money should be pouring in on the Huskies right before kickoff. The Huskies will switch to a three man defensive line today, because they are so big, there aint no way four of those dudes can fit across the field. The Miners will use a hurry up offense as a way to combat the physical Huskies defense. The Miners are coming off of a 10 point loss to Old Dominion last week. Rumor has it that Old Dominion really isn't that old. And they have been fooling the rest of us all season. The Huskies come in with momentum, having defeated the mighty Louisiana Martin 24-17. A crowd of 75,000 is expected for today's game. And extra people have been hired to work the snack stand today. |

LSU has looked much better under Orgeron. But the Tigers have been a solid favorite in those three games. Alabama's defense vs Fournette is an interesting matchup. Give the slight edge to Bama. The most intriguing matchup to me is Lane Kiffin's Bama offense vs Orgeron's LSU defense. Kiffin and Orgeron know each other very well, having coached on the same staff at USC and Tennessee. A few weeks ago, I would say Bama wins this game by three touchdowns. Look for LSU to keep it close for three quarters, with the superior coaching of Saben taking over in the 4th quarter. Final Score- Alabama: 31 -- LSU: 21 |

Notre Dame's anemic offense has scored a total of 13 points in the last two games. Miami is hurting after losing to North Carolina and Virginia Tech in a 5 day span. The Irish have two weeks to prepare for this game, but the bad news is that they will still have the same players and same angry coach for this game in South Bend. You could give them two months off and the result would be the same. The Hurricanes have better athletes on both sides of the ball. And they are much better than their 4-3 record indicates. I look for Miami to win this game by a score of 28-24. |

In their first six games this season, Baylor has been favored by an average of 29 points. The Bears have not played anybody this season. That doesn't mean they automatically will lose to a weak Texas team. But we have no idea how good Baylor is. I am from Mizzou. Show me! No bet on this game. |

Look for the Spartans to bounce back and beat a poorly coached BYU team that is trying to find their identity under new head coach, Kalani Sitake. This BYU team has the talent to win more games. But they don't seem to have the coaching staff to win the close ones. Bronco Mendenhall instilled a toughness in the Cougars. And he also made very good adjustments during the game. Sitake and offensive coordinator, Ty Detmer, are learning on the job right now. We shall see if they ever get it right. But I like Michigan State to beat BYU by 7-10 points. |

Everyone is jumping on the App State bandwagon. Not me. Miami's defense is too tough against the run. They will stop the Moutainers one demensional running attack. Too many athletes on Miami. Look for the Canes to win by at least a touchdown. |

Holy smokes, bets777!! Are you really going to bet on this game based on what happened from 1998 - 2006? Different players and a different coach. You are better off flipping a coin to decide who to bet on. |

In the last 7 games, USC is 7-0 against the Big 10 in Bowl Games. The Trojans have a huge speed advantage over the Badgers. And with a renewed power running game, look for the Trojans to have a balance dose of running and passing against the Badger defense. The Badgers played a very weak schedule, and they were double digit favorites in 7 games this season. They avoided playing Ohio State, Michigan State, and Michigan. The Holiday Bowl is almost a home game for the Trojans, while the Badgers travel across the country for a road game. The Badgers will keep this game close in the first half. But the Trojans have too many athletes and too much speed. Look for the final score to be USC- 34 Wisconsin-24. |

I don't know about this theory that BYU will be fired up to win the game for Mendenhall. The guy is abandoning his BYU team for another job. The Bowl Coach Rule states, "Bet on the team if the coach is fired. Bet against the team if the coach leaves for another job." I will stick to the Bowl Coach Rule and bet the Pac-12 Utes over the lesser talented Cougars. Give the 2.5 points and take Utah. |

Marshall's best running back Devon Johnson was injured on October 17th. Since that game, the Thundering Herd is averaging 35 points a game without him. Take the 10.5 points. Marshall will keep this game very close. |

I agree with you lordzud. Oregon did everything wrong last week against Utah at home. The Ducks took the Utes lightly, and were physically dominated for 60 minutes. The Ducks were outcoached on both sides of the ball. And they quit during the 3rd quarter. Oregon matches up better against a Colorado team that barely hung on to win against Colorado State. The talent level of these two teams is not even close. And Colorado will not bring the toughness on both sides of the ball that the Utes brought last week. I look for the game to be close at halftime. But the Ducks will pul away in the second half to win this game by 17 points. Oregon -7 for the large max bet. |

At first look, this appears to be a close game because San Jose State is playing at home, and they have won several games this season. And BYU has some losses this year and has let some of their fans down with a loss to Utah and Notre Dame. When when you take a close look at this game, BYU looks to have the solid advantage for several reasons. First off, the Spartans have played nobody in the last month. They were favored by an average of 18.5 points in their last four games and have not been seriously tested in awhile.. The last hard game the Spartans played was five weeks ago when they were blown out by a Utah State team that scored 49 popints on the Spartan defense. That same Utah State team managed only one field goal in a loss to BYU one week earlier. IMO BYU has too much pass defense for the Spartan O-Line. They are more battle tested after having played Georgia Tech, Notre Dame, Oregon State, and Utah this year. Some people say the Cougars should have beat Notre Dame in South Bend. I like what San Jose State has done this season. They are an improved team. Their QB is getting better and better. But they just dont have the fire power to match up against a tough BYU team. The Cougars are better than their record states, and I see the final score: BYU-27 San Jose St-17 |

Football is a game of matchups. And the UCLA pass defense just doesn't match up against USC's high powered offense. The Bruin secondary will get picked apart by the veteran Barkley. Look for Trojan receivers Lee, Woods, and Agholor to dominate the UCLA secondary all day long. And if that seems to much for the Bruin defense to worry about. You will see the potent one-two running attack of Trojans Curtis McNeal and Silas Redd. I just dont see this matchup being good for UCLA on the defensive side of the ball. If things go well for UCLA on defense, they will give up 38 points to the Trojans. If things break down for the Bruins, then we could be talking about a 49 point, five TD performance by matt Barkley. Offensively, UCLA poses some problems for USC's defense. They have an excellent running attack with Jonathan Franklin leading the way. Quarterback Brett Hundley is lethal with his arm and his legs. This tyoe of QB gives the USC defense fits. The determining factor for me is the experience that USC has at the QB position vs UCLA, and the fact that the Trojan defense bounced back nicely last week against ASU, after a humiliating loss the week before to Oregon. You add those factors to the matchup advantage that USC has on offense, and that spells a final score of: USC- 42 UCLA-31 |
