Nice info. But why did you omit quarterback rating? I am too lazy to do the arithmetic but I think Big Ben wins on this one. When he's healthy, his number was top-notched (QB rating ~100).
And no one will dispute that Big Ben has been subject to more quarterback pressure than Brady has. That's a given fact. Like I said before, through their first five seasons, their stats are very comparable and it's hard to argue either way. It's a WASH at best. What makes BB better or more impressive is that he doesn't have a. the OL that Brady enjoys b. a defense and a coach that shows up during the playoff. Pitts D disappear during playoffs and are inconsistent at best. Cowher is far, far, far from being a playoff-coach. And Tomlin's cred is still undecided. I have watched the majority of TB's game (NE native). Until someone shows me a youtube video with TB performing well under quarterback pressure, I have to go with BB as the better player. Like Manning, Brady stinks under pressure (like the majority of all quarterbacks). I am not saying that he's Bledose-bad. Overall TB is a slightly above average player when facing pressure while BB is simply unreal. The only comparable player i know of is probably the uncomparable Joe Montana during his hey days. |

NO Are you joking? How can you compare an eight year career versus a five year career? Look at their stats (5 years versus 5 years),how can you argue that Brady is better than BB based on their first five years. At best it's a wash. In his first five years, Brady didn't even sniff triple digits quarterback rating. Ben has had quarterback rating of 98,98,104 in five year. The stunning stats is that Brady has been sacked 203 times in 8 years, Ben has been sacked 192 times in 5 years. Part of that is due to Ben holding the ball longer to makes play but is also due to a porous OL. Brady receives AWESOME protection from his OL. The only quarterback that comes close to such protection is Dan Marino. Do you know how many quarterbacks have better career stats than Brady? A bunch. Based on those stats you listed.. Peyton Manning is 2x the player that Brady is. Manning is great but is he far and above Brady?... (even a diehard Manning fan would say no). |

In the last three years, he has won JACKSHIT with numerous flops and disappointment. So based on your analysis, Tom Brady has become a worse player. Pure Genius. And I guess Eli Manning is better than Peyton Manning too at that juncture of their careers. There is no quarterback in the league (perhaps McNabb) that could have stayed in the pocket that long to pull off the shit that Ben did (yesterday). Brady with his two left foot wouldn't have last past half time with that OL. Big Ben is a unique talent. I have NEVER seen a quarterback perform so well under duress. I cant recall the last time Brady performed well when he's pressured. Even Peyton looks vulnerable under heavy pass rush. The sick thing is he's only going to get BETTER. with better pass protection, his stats can only go higher. In 2007 (decent pass protection), his passer rating was 104.1. Brady didn't even break the 100 mark until 2007 AND that was with the aid of Randy Moss. |

The Patriots' success in the PLAYOFF (not just the Superbowl) is mostly due to their Defense. Last I check, Tom doesn't play defense. I am pretty sure he wasnt the one who stopped Peyton Manning on D, nor was he a contributor on the 2007/8 defense that contained the Charger/Giants that kept the "great" offense in the game two years ago. Without that Defense, Patriots wouldn't even make it to the Superbowl four times. It also doesn't hurt to have the game most clutch kicker, probably the best playoff coach, and an OL that keeps your jersey whistle clean. What happens when Tom Brady get pressured? ... thats right: shit. INT during the final possession against Indy; shitty performance against the Charger, and the biggest chokejob against the Giants.
Big Ben had to will his way to the two championships. Check the playoff logs, the Steelers D stinks during those runs. How many crazy, acrobatic, pressure-situation, hard hits to the turf, back-peddle throw has Ben make? A ton. |

Big Ben is better than Tom Brady at this juncture in their career (comparing their first five season), and probably will surpass Tom Brady at some point in the future. The only reason why TOm looks "cool and controlled" during the playoff and fourth quarter combebacks is because he's RARELY get pressured or hit. Thats a credit to the OL and not Brady. Big Ben get pressured pretty much on every play and he does crazy shit that even Tom cant pull off. Brady is massively overrated while Big Ben pulls magic tricks out of his ass and gets no credit.
Brady as you might recall hardly "earn" his first Supberbowl. Tuck-rule bullshit, didn't even play against Pittsburgh the next week, and threw for barely 150 yards against the Ram. Hardly the stuff of "elite quarterback." Big Ben struggled in his first Superbowl but he made all the right plays at the right time (screw passer ratings). What people forget was that Pittsburgh barely made it to the playoff that year. And without Big Ben, they wouldnt have beaten (Bengals (decent back then), Colts (dominating season), and Broncos). Check the stats, he was a stud during that run excluding the Superbowl. Sure his first Superbowl was a clunker, but this playoff run was more impressive than Tom's first series. 1+ for Big Ben. Pittsburgh wouldn't even been in the playoff this season if it wasn't for Big Ben. Inconsistent running game, a non-existing OL. A number of really close games... without Ben, the Patriots would be in the playoff. The D is pretty good but radically inconsistent this playoff. It was the offense that was the DIFFERENCE between going home early and winning a Superbowl. The D played like crap today, also played crappy against San Diego before the Chargers self-destruct. +1 to Big Ben (Patriots won on D.. colts game). |

Tom Brady will be ...wat.. 32 years old next year? How many more serviceable years will he have? Not to mention that he's coming back from a season-ending injury and out of football for an entire year.
Look how long it took Manning to get back up to speed (I am not so sure he's 100% the way he under-throws the ball), and his injury was less severe. Look at pre-injured Carson Palmer versus the current sorry state of Carson Palmer. Ditto for Daunte Crap-pepper. People assume that Tom will be 100% next year, that's a tall assumption. It took Brady two seasons before he started clicking. People forget about Brady's second season, where he was sub-par. Cassel has been very impressive in his first season (despite no running game and a piss-poor defense). You don't simply let that kind of CHEAP (relatively speaking), YOUNG, MOBILE quarterback go. I think Brady will be the starter with the understanding that Cassel will likely take over in 2-3 years. |

Moving to New York but keeping my car in Boston. Is it possible to have my car registered in New York (also have to change my license) and yet pay insurance rate in Boston, since that's where it's being kept?
Thanks |

There is a strong possibility that I am moving to NYC. In NYC, they impose city tax, unlike Boston. Is there a way I can avoid being declared a "NYC resident".. i.e. my primary home is Boston (which I own) and I work in NYC...
Thanks |

I shoplifted when I was 16 (about a decade ago) at a store. They called my parents. Within weeks, my parents received a letter and we werecharged ($100 or so).
Will this be in my criminal records? I am asking because an employer wants to do a criminal record check. Thanks |

I might potentially move to NYC in the foreseeable future, to work in Manhattan. Can't afford Manhattan rent price, have been looking at Brooklyn (easy commute to NYC).
My problem is that I have a car and wants to keep it. So ... I need a place that is 1. Close to Manhattan (accessible by the Mass Transportation) 2. Able to have street parking (reasonable) 3. Not above $1300 per month Thanks |
