Pats 08 schedule might lead to 30+ STRAIGHT WINS

  Just when you thought it was safe for the 2008 NFL regular season to start...watch out because the New England Patriots could be ready go on another undefeated run.

  We don't know how week for week the Patriots schedule will breakdown, but on paper New England has a much easier schedule than the Colts.  I"m not a Colts fan but just a comparison for shits and giggles

  Let's start with the eight division games each will play.  The Colts' AFC South is the toughest in football and should be even stronger next year. (Rank=how a team's final record ended up...#1 best...#32 the worst)  (H/A= Home / Away)

The Patriots AFC East did not have a playoff team in 2007 and there doesn't seem like there could be a team that would make the playoffs in 2008.

Each NFL team faces an entire division from the other conference.  The Colts take on a much improved NFC North including a trip to Lambeau Field to take on the Packers.

On the other hand, the Patriots face the weak NFC West.

 Each division also faces another divsion from their own conference.  The Colts face a very dangerous AFC North.

The Patriots get to face the down AFC West.

Finally, you also face 2 teams from your conference according to what place you finish in your division.  The Colts  got a tough draw with the champs and maybe a date with Brady Quinn?

New England has challenges as well.

But overall, the Patriots schedule is favorable compared to the Colts when you look at opponents who are above 500 and below 500.
