I can relate to you I've had a bad year losing people & work myself. Part of getting old means losing people but hopefully it get's better for you, just give it some time because when a door closes a window opens. I hope your Dad goes peacefully, the Hospice staff are really good people & they will do their best to keep him pain free. Peace to you & your family.

Toronto is Expensive, housing and rents are expensive, traffic is bad in rush time ... 55 k us is on the low side ... if you try a daily commute from NF usa to Toronto bank on about 2 hours each way thats 4 hours sitting in a vehicle .. will they pay your travel time? let alone falling asleep at the wheel..

I live in Toronto and like was posted already it's not cheap but 
US $$ has about a plus 25% exchange rate so you're doing ok on that end. The drive would be a deal killer for me. Something will come around for you just give it some time.

Sometimes talking sports and making a few wagers helps to get through tough times. Went through it this past April with my Mother. Sorry to hear your going through it now. As far as the job goes at least you have some time to figure out what is best for the future.
