Indiana won’t have to analyze this game at all, turnovers tell the whole story. 

I have never seen a team so thoroughly kick their own ass with turnovers as Indiana is doing in this game. That one stand alone stat will define this game. 

Skinner has been below average. But it doesn’t look like it’s even gonna matter because with Edmontons offensive production 1 goal would do the job. 

I mean you’re right. But in his defense Florida is killing them everywhere and the goalie looks bad because of it.

Come back from 3 down to take the lead and Giving up the tying goal in reg with 17 sec left and winning it in ot. That game was won with mental toughness.

Who thinks next goal wins the series? If Florida goes up 3-1 they win, but if Edmonton goes home tied with 2 of 3 at home including game 7 I think they win. I have money on Edmonton, but even if I had it on Florida I would still cheer for Edmonton as a pure hockey fan. 

Something tells me the oilers try to play this like a stereotypical road game on steroids. I think they will try to emphasize taking a lead into the third period and playing lock down defense the final 10 minutes of the game. I actually hate when teams do this because I think aggressive teams win and when you sit back it’s only a matter of time before you get scored on, but I think tonight will be lower scoring and maybe 3-2 with an empty-netter. That being said, if Skinner lets in an early one in the first 5 minutes this changes. What a series so far.

I would be tempted to take the oil at +money too after a game 1 loss, problem is I don’t have the same confidence in them to win the series if they lose game 1 that I have in Florida. Although I have no good reason to think this given what happened last year. Part of me thinks that the winner of game 1 wins the series. Also, even though mathematically home ice means squat in hockey, I think Edmonton has a legit home ice advantage here that might matter in a game 7. 

Man as much as I would love to see Edmonton take the rematch and these are 2 virtually even teams, I just see Florida as an absolute machine. Edmonton will need a special performance at some point to steal a game they don’t look their best in, but if they can do that I do think they take it in 7. I actually think home ice means something here and Edmonton needs game 1 more than Florida. If the oil can get it to 7 they win. 

It’s so funny how teams treat conference trophies like they are actual pieces of sh!t. Why do they even bother with those things since no one cares?

Can’t say they haven’t had their opportunities. After the first 3 Boy would it be wild if the canes took the next one at home and forced Florida to win game 6 to avoid going on the road for game 7.

 I was thinking the same thing. This is a pro team vs a college team and I would do the same. I wouldn’t be surprised if Carolina didn’t score again this series. 

I’m a hockey fan who occasionally watches basketball. The knicks remind me of the Toronto maple leafs, no matter how good they are or where they will figure out how to con their fans into believing and then do the most ridiculous thing you can think of to piss away victory. 

Not only will the canes lose this series, but they might get swept again and never even have a lead at any point in the series. This level of domination is unreal.

 I thought the canes would play with desperation like their season was on the line and Anderson would have a half way decent game. I know the cats are better and will win the series, but I thought Carolina would take this game. I was wrong, and I can’t remember the last time I saw a series over this quickly where a team looked utterly mentally demoralized and outmatched. 

With the way Anderson is playing they might as well just take out the goalie and play 6-on-5. You can feel it in the crowd that they already know their done. Canes are becoming like the leafs of the conference finals. 

Yeah this series looks over. If the canes can magically win this game I’m unloading on cats to win the series. Canes will only win if they empty the tank in desperation or bob has an off night. 

If hockey games only had 2 periods I would be a goddamn zillionaire.

Marner should just leave the ice immediately when the game ends. He’s not coming back and fans will boo him every time he touches the puck as an opposing player.

Opening line I saw was cats -232. I expected around -250 so I guess that’s about right. I do expect it to get bet up to -260 or so because I don’t think the leafs have a snowball’s chance in hell in that game. But wouldn’t that be a game coming back to Toronto for game 7 if it happened.
