The Sixers are an ATS machine. I love watching them play and bet on them. You'll see full effort from them so even if they don't cover (I hope it doesn't happen), it's not like that they just laid down and decided not to exert effort.

I have the Sixers -7. Cleveland covered (and won straight up) against the Knicks with the same line. It rarely happens that a team would cover in the next game with the same spread if they covered in their previous game.

BetJamaica if you want a reputable book that gives fairly generous bonuses.

WTF was that technical foul given by the refs. Wow. Good thing Pitt wasn't able to convert a game-tying three. That's BS. That tech could have changed the whole outcome of the game.

The referees on this game suck. Every little contact is a foul especially favoring Xavier. Let them play bastards. Don't decide the outcome of the game by your whistles.

A low second half line like this usually tells you that Miami will win in a blowout fashion. Too easy to take the Bulls so if it's too good to be true, then it must be too good to be true.

Brutal choke job by the Blazers. They had that game in the bag and they let it slip away. Reminiscent of their game against Miami earlier this season.

Golden State +4.5 (-110) against Boston - Here's a fun fact: Boston hasn't won at Oracle Arena in six years. It's not hard to believe. GS plays well at home. I know the previous years don't have any bearing to tonight's match up but I'm not betting against the streak. I believe it will continue tonight. - Boston is one of the worst rebounding team in the NBA (hard to believe). GSW also has trouble rebounding but they have a slight edge against the Celts. If you watch the Warriors play, they usually lose to teams that outrebound them. That won't happen tonight. The rebounding would be about even (or a slight edge to the GSW) and if that happens, GSW usually wins. - GSW is an athletic team. Based on anecdotal evidence (no statistics to back this) but Boston has trouble against teams that are highly athletic. GSW will run and gun later and a Celtics team that just came from LA to celebrate All-Star festivities will have their hands full earlier. - GSW's remaining schedule will be brutal from here on out. They have a plethora of road games post-All-Star break. Home games like this mean so much as they need to win these types of games to stay in playoff contention. They still have a chance and a big win against an elite Celtics team would mean so much for the rest of the season. Wager: 2.2 units to win 2 units GL

NBA YTD: 5-2 (+4.98 units)
I'm glad that the NBA is back. I tried my luck betting on other sports but it just made me lose some money. I plan to get it back today. On to today's picks... Milwaukee -8 (-110) against Minnesota - Revenge game by Milwaukee as they lost to Minnesota in the early part of the season - Milwaukee is very much at the thick of things for playoff contention in the East. They can achieve by a strong showing in the second half of the season. The All-Star break can only benefit them as they make that push. On the flip side, Minnesota just wants to play out the reason and seek good draft positioning. Yes, they're not mathematically out but it's virtually impossible for them to grab a playoff spot given how tight the battle it is in the Western Conference. - Milwaukee will play defense and they will score on that pathetic Minnesota defense. - Minnesota plays a fast-paced offense, the highest in the league. They will be put out of their comfort zone later as home teams tend to dictate the tempo of play. Milwaukee will slow it down as they do not the offensive firepower to score explosively. - Too high of a spread like this just means a blowout is coming. Don't be afraid to lay the points. The Bucks will get it done and set the tone for a strong push towards playoff contention. Wager: 2.2 units to win 2 units |
