thanks guys I have been so down about him In a way I'm glad sheila his wife had him in seclusion up there in Mass. Stu didn't want to have any visitors and and everyone to remember him the way we knew him There are so many good memories. Another one was we both had Chinese History class He was a history major and I had history as a minor. My girlfriend who later became my wife had tickets to see Elton John in Dallas. We had a mid -term History test. I told my girlfriend I couldn't go to the concert Had to study . She was upset and took her roommate. She came over to my apartment and Stu and I were in the kitchen studying. Then Stu ate about 3-4 muffins that were laced with marijuana. He never smoked it and I didn't know my roommate had cooked them with marijuana in it We had no brownie mix so he made Muffins. We were so f,,ked up and about 4 hours later my girlfriend now my wife came over Stu and I were in the same kitchen same chairs she had seen us before she left. We were stoned . My girlfriend was mad realizing we didn't accomplish studying and I missed a great concert. My girl friend saw us and realized we were wasted and went back to her dorm. Stu looked at me and said " you are in f..k en trouble with her and can you spell Madame Hu'ze. a Chinese Emperor We both laughed and laughed. And when ever I don't want to go with my wife someplace I will say " I;m studying for a chinese history test, can't go. Don't remember how we did on the test but Stu knew the professor being a big time basketball fan and got an A in the class I got a A also.... so maybe it was those muffins |

Last night went out to dinner with my 10 racquetball buddies and their wives I didn't want to look at my texts because Stu a former VietNam vet Providence College, North Texas St D-1 player was in hospice and refused to eat and was shutting down / He passed away yesterday afternoon. I think back about our college days. He was close to Dave Cowen and Rudy Tom of the Celtics and Rockets. He was from Seekconk, RI. and played one year at Providence. Then was drafted into the Army his sophomore year Prov.. After coming back North Texas offered a full scholarship , He played at North Texas for 2 years then coached at Eastern new Mexico and Southeast OK st in Durant Ok . He told Dave Cowens about me and I worked Cowens summer camp for 3 years I was offered to work Basketball camp at West Point but liked working at Regis College in Mass. |

So much already written and heard on this game. Its bigs vs Bigs, perimeters vs Perimeters ,coach vs Coach etc Think Uconn plays better defense, has a little more perimeter players and wins and covers . So much info . I am Hurley fan and dad sits a few rows behind his son and pop has passed his philosophy down to his son . Huskies win and cover back to back titles and Huskies win by 10 Good luck Everyone have a safe off season and be careful and stay healthy .. See you all next season . Peace. |

Purdue game already started Uconn -10.5 over bama *** I have Uconn to win it all vs Purdue but Bama will run and gun. They avg almost 90 pts a game But think Huskies defesne will slow them down That is double digits to cover but Huskies are on a " run away train " Like Newton a lot and even though Spears will be very hard to slow down think Hurley has his game plan to stop Spears. Bama defense is suspect They just outscore teams but think Huskies will be a different animal ...they can score also .. |

Its hard to be disciplined here. Its like going to the candy store when your a kid and looking up at all the candies You walk up to the sports casino and look up on their board and want to bet on almost every game . Then you see something you didn't bet on and you knew they would win or cover. Its hard to be disciplined and just make one of two plays. I guess if you live out here in Vegas you realize you cannot bet on all the games Be selected and play one or two. |

Texas -2.5 0ver Col St *** Col St coming off a huge win over ACC Virginia where they defense held the cavs to a middle school score . Texas has to much offense to allow that to happen They have solid gds in Hunter and Abmas and an athletic front line that should own the bds . Texas defesne is questionable but think Abmas who whenever he touches the ball is thinking about a shot he should take But last game he was on and think today Col St who might really gd him tight have some other off. options .
Illinois -11 ** Nevada -1.5 over dayton ** Drake -1,5 over Wash St ** Flying out to Vegas this afternoon I go to Southpoint almost everyday Think Texas wakes up and had to watch selection Sunday to see if they were in and where they were seeded and where they were going If you see someone wearing a North Texas Mean Green hat or a red Phillies hat looking around at Southpoint its me looking for my chair I was sitting in. I asked the car rental place can I have a red car or yellow one because I cannot find my car in thier parking lot Good luck to everybody Be safe |

thanks adec and sportschat Quinn -1,5 line dropped a half a point **** This will be Quinn's 1st tournament championship ever. They have been the best team in the MAAC all year. Its been a long time since he has become a head coach / Tom Pecara Was fired at Fordham but an outstanding game coach . Had a job at Quinn as a sports manager and just switched offices down the hall to become head coach When I read he was the new coach at Quinn I said to myself " give him at least 2 years and they will be one of the top teams in the MAAC I was wrong He did it in his 1st year. He has one of the best players in the conf in Balanac . He has the best pt gd in Lewis and had added some transfers and new players But my favorite quote when he got the job was " I just re-arranged some furniture we had. He has Tice and Otieno who can score and play defense and both had 18 and 15 pts in Quinn 1st game at home vs Peter where they won 83-73. They are 24-8 this year and again have the best pt gd in the MAAC. As most of you all know I weigh pt gds play as a huge advantage in most games esp in tournament play |

wow what a premier badbone It was the " Civil War I max screening . A heavy movie with a lot of violence. Hard movie to explain but about the US in a civil war with states fighting each other. Really about war photo correspondents covering the war. Not sure who is on what sides but one side attacks the White House to kill the President. After the movie an Austin movie critic asks the actors and directors questions about the movie theme and actors on there to answer the filming of the movie The movie is an A24 studio. After the answer and questions everyone goes into a room for drinks and dinner. Excuse me Only those that have screening passes get to eat and drink with the cast and directors . The movie opens to theaters on April 24th It was a very good movie and enjoyed it A little to much graphic violence but scenes and attack on Wash DC and the White House were unreal .. its a movie to pay tribute to war journalism.I'm asking to myself to explain why they are fighting but the director explains thats not the point of the movie Kristin Dunst the actress and star although looks different in the movie is beautiful and stunning close up . It was a great experience to see a film premier and I think this movie could be a blockbuster when it gets released on April 24th But I peeked at my phone and updated the basketball scores and saw North Texas was beating Tulane and covering. That made the movie even better .. |

Traffic downtown is packed My daughters best friend works for Fox or 20th Century She gave me 2 tickets to the premier and meet the directors actors etc and a buffet meal after the movie . The movie is " The Civil War " but its not about the North vs South but the future.. Anyway no time to explain these picks |
