Clemson doesn't have an injured player from the 2 deep.

And I swear they didn't hit a shot the first 4 minutes of shoot around. Which got me to thinking maybe I'm not weighing the experience factor for Kentucky enough. They were here last year. Not Davis or Teague or MKG...but Jones was, Lamb was, Miller was. And having leadership that you know has been in this very same battle before is comforting even for the Freshman. Look at Louisville Chane can't look to Siva for advice or knowledge because he knows he has just as much experience as Siva in this spot. Don't get me wrong 9 or 8.5 is still too much for me to lay, but I think I'm going to back off of taking Louisville. I say 8.5 is the perfect line and a tease up or down would get you a win. But gun to head after seeing practice today I would take KY.

Kentucky is the real deal. If you really break down the foul situation, UK shot 14 free throws in the last 3 min, 10 in the last 2 when Indiana turned the aggression up to either foul or create a TO. The game was already a 7-10 pt game before the ft barrage. So in regular game play and flow Indiana fouled 2 more time and UK attempted 6 more free throws for a team the relentlessly attacks the rim. Sounds about right.
On the Baylor game, I think Baylor is very good at blinding people with their NBA draftability. They are easily inch for inch the SOFTEST team in the NCAA. Kentucky's rugged they come at you constantly. On paper the Bears look like the best possible matchup for UK. But in my eyes this is an utter mismatch. UK wins by 15+.

I don't think Alabama will be more physical than Clemson especially in game one. Saban is a believer in the titty bump technique in camp. The only time his players go full contact is in the few scrimmages. Clemson however goes full contact from the beginning of camp and teams that tend to do that tend to have less missed tackles than teams that "bump" Also Cody won't be a factor in the pass rush, he might in the run game but a 365 pounder isn't running down a sloth much less a qb that ran a sub 4.6 in the summer. And you can have as much talent and want to as you would like but there is no substitute for experience especially against Clemson. Clemson has two of the more complex schemes in all of college football. Several NFL scouts that have been to camp have commented on all the Clemson does defensively. So if you would like to trust JPW against one of the tougher zones he has faced in college than go ahead. Most of his success has come against man when he could just throw it up to Hall. Well guess who didn't play against La Mon......Hall. He's gone now and I can gaurantee you Clemson will not need to double up Jones for the sheer fact that Clemson is mostly a Zone football team. Jones isn't going to have a chance to man up and go get it. He is going to have to read defenses find the holes and sit down in them......Good Luck Freshman.

Mark May is a moron. He heard Harper is hampered by an ankle injury and he's right except for the fact that the Harper that is hampered is not Cullen it is Jamie Harper a true freshman rb. He is a beast though he is ahead of where James and CJ were as freshmen.

Forgot to mention NCST top 2 RB's are out in what should be a heavy based run attack. Their top WR is also out for this game. Also SC is using their 3rd string RB to start the game. The first teamer broke into a fridge and stole some drinks out of the SC training room and the 2nd teamer has been fumbling and dancing more than Jason Taylor during Fall camp. By the way I'm a Clemson grad and absolutely hate the cocks.
Also here's an important side note if Beecher goes down for the cocks than the QB-RB combo for.............................................. (The cocks will be Smelley and Rank.) |

USC/NCST under 47.5 (5 units)
Got in early on the game and glad I did. Almost grabbed it at 50 but hesitated one day and it cost me 2.5 points. USC returns 10 on D including Jasper and Pepper. They essentially have 6 DL on the field cuz their 2 LBs both weigh 270 (Jasper and Norwood). SC runs a 4-2-5 and their secondary was the strength last year and returns just about everyone from the 2 deep. NCST is starting a RS FR in a very intimidating stadium....unless your Clemson. The only way this game reaches the total is if SC and their shaky QB play scores 40. But in recent years Spurrier has called off the dogs in the first game (UCF, MSU, ULL) I expect him to do so again to get ready for a revenge game against Vandy. |

Sorry about the post, but there was a pic that is ruining it. I think Q will have a real tough time beating Clemson's press and I'm going to lay a little....Let me emphasize little on the ML maybe a unit or a half of one. Sounds absurd considering the inability of Clemson to EVER win at the dean dome, but I think tonight may be the night.
