 The start of the NFL/ AFL  was created by "Honest" --LOL Gamblers and Mob type associates....  Did you watch the video link? 

Even if the NFL is not rigging games, it makes sense to classify themselves this way so they don't get sued everytime something crazy happens on the field.  There are a lot of lawyers out there that are fans of a football team and are sore losers and the NFL has deep pockets.

If they are rigging games, it makes even more sense.

I find there are too many "moving parts" to script a game. I submit the easiest way to "fix" a game is to pay off a referee or 2, to me that is way more plausible.

Jeez, I thought it's the other way around. I thought authorities are watching their every move for possible fixing...

So what role do books play in all this ? If games are rigged wouldn't you be hesitant to open a book?!?!

Hey van1976...So there's 12 minutes I'll never get back lmao.  I'm tempted to ask you what you learned from watching the video, but I'll go first.

First 6 minutes - a history of the NFL creation, the owners, and shock of shocks -- gamblers and bookies liked to hang out with pro football players, the excitement of the game rubbing off on mobsters and wannabes.

Here's the EXCITING FIND...at the end of the first 6 minutes the lady narrating the video says that since the owners have been around gamblers and bookies since the league began...and some original owners were involved in sports gambling...there's no reason the league and the owners couldn't fix games if they wanted to...nobody to stop them.  

Next 3 minutes -  a history of Super Bowl commercials

Last 3 minutes - a history of the Super halftime show

Of course the lady who write and produced and narrated the presentation WOULD NEVER DECLARE that the NFL fixes its games because she would have been sued and ruined financially within a week of the video appearing on youtube.  She just opines that they could if they wanted because there's nobody there to stop them.  How funny is that statement.

The narrator of the presentation didn't bother to mention the dark history of those sports, and why would she?  Her focus was the dark history of the Super Bowl.  I guess the NFL is lucky that there was nobody around to stop them from fixing their games if they wanted to...to bad the other pro sports weren't as smart as Roger Goodell and the NFL owners, huh?  Just declare pro football "entertainment business" and they can do whatever they want with their product.  Is that what you're saying?  Ever heard of "The Feds"?  You think the NFL would create a huge global conspiracy and blow up their golden goose?

In case you wanna hammer the point "Well, Hornung and Karras we're suspended for a year by the NFL"?  Well, as the lady narrated, they went on to have very successful pro careers.  That's the closest she tried to get to intimate that there's fixing going on. LOL.

The question is....would you bet on the WWE if your book gave you the option?

thanks for this post. It's okay to gamble within your means, but just be aware of the business of the NFL and how games are manipulated. that video was great and hopefully awoken some SHEEPS.
