We all know about their D, which has only gotten better as scary as that sounds. Now if Sanchez could only cut down on the TO, which I expect he will with a year of experience under his belt. Also adding Holmes at WR and LT's leadership in the back field will definitely benefit Sanchez.

I'm probably going to place a bet on the Bengals at 40-1. I like their chances. Really didn't lose any key pieces besides Henry. I think with the additions they have made offensively that offense should be way more explosive. The defense is very good and the offense should put up way more points and keep the defense of the field. Too many 3 and outs for the Bengals last year which I think really wore on the defense. Additions of Antonio Bryant, Shipley might help a bit early, I think Matt Jones contributes. Andre Smith will help with run and pass blocking on the right side. Extremely excited about this team, as long as Palmer stays healthy and they don't lose key players they should be right there.

You know the rapist is suspended and most likely Leftwich will be starting for 4 or so games. Don't see it. They also did trade away their best receiver.

I like the value at 40-1. And I like the draft additions of Shipley and Gresham which will defintely benefit Palmer giving him options down the middle. But the Bengals' schedule is brutal, out of confrence, they must play New England, NYJ, Saints and Colts and of course Balt.and Pitt twice.

I never count out Pitt because their D is typially always good and will be good this year. I just question their offense. And as Whodey mentioned, the 4-6 game suspension to Big Ben will be a critical stretch for them.

I have no bets yet. Each year I play future bets. I have hit the last 2 super bowls with the steelers and saints. And the last 3 NBA titles with the Celts and Lakers. I will not sit hear and say I picked all 5 and no others. I always pick at least 3 teams and back up my top bet with hedge bets. Of course we are able to do this with the odds being so good in future bets during the summer
For exampls the saints were my top pick this year with the vikings and Chargers as my hedge bets. I would have made money if the vikings won cause I bet them at 22 to 1 the day before they signed farve. I am also a big laker for so I hit them the last 2 years. This year I had Orlando and the Suns as my hedge bets. Of course I threw a little on the celts in the finals just in case but came out a winner in the end.
At this time my early leans are the Ravens at 14 to 1 and the Jets at 14 to one in the AFC. In the NFC im am still trying to decide between the Cowboys and Packers but im not positive if I can leave the Vikings out either. I loved the NFC to win the bowl last year and I do once again this year. I wonder if Farve can stay healthy another full year and be as good this year. If he does they can be a power house so to me they are a wild card to bet.
If I had to bet today I would Bet Dallas at ten to one and the Ravens at 14 to 1. Better off to bet a team in the AFC and NFC so you have a legit shot for both to make it. I would really love to bet the Jets and I still may but I worry about the QB and the loss of Thomas jones. I think LT is over the hill and I like shone green but is he ready to carry the load? The pros of taking the jets is the great offensive line and the nasty defense. it will go down to the wire for me but I will choose 2 out of these 5 teams and possibly add a third as a hedge bet!
I personaly dont like the saints, colts, pats, or steelers this year. I also have to see how the chargers new running back fits in the system but I see them slipping this year even though they play in that weak division. Last year I found great value in the NFC teams thats why I went with the saints and vikings. Obviously I am not getting those great odds with those NFC teams this year but I think one of them will win it all.
So as of right now Im gonna go with Cowboys over the ravens. But I still have the jets packers and vikings on my radar. I know this was a long ass post Bear but I had alot to say lol and I just blazed lol.
The only NBA bet I love at this point is the Lakers to win the West.Jazz and suns got worse and the Mavs just cant get it done in the playoffs. Spurs seem to have lost their magic. I will have to see portlands health because we all know they pose a problem for LA all the time. We dont win in Portland. Truth be told I see OKC Thunder as the biggest obsticle to get by in the West......This isnt the NBA forumn but I got on a roll...

Longer shots with value in my eyes due to the odds. If you bet them it can be a small play
Some people may not agree but for long shots I see some value in the bengals at 40 to 1 and the redskins at 35 to 1. These 2 teams remind me of each other. They both have strong defenses, good running games and 2 veteran QB's that havent won a title yet but are capable of big years!!!
Even though I dont like them as much as the 2 above I also think the niners are a QB away from being a contender for the NFC and you can get great value on them. Not saying I would bet them though but they are a team on the rise. I like the two offensive lineman they drafted! Big mike is molding this team like the old bears teams

Ravens look like a solid pick. The Jets have a coach that hypes up his team but backs it up with wins, although they are getting alot of hype publicly. I want to see weeks 2 & 3 in preseason to see how talented several teams are. If you watched the Saints last year in preseason, you seen them dominate teams first couple weeks, especially week 3 when most starters start for every team.
My longshot will be the Texans. My realistic bets will be the Ravens.

I too like Balt as a close second as this team is similar to NYJ. Both teams have young promising QB's, both have passing offenses that must improve, both have added ProBowl receivers to help this manner, both have coaches roughly the same age and coaching experience. However, there are a few reasons I sided with the Jets over the Ravens...1)Better D 2)Better run game, which will make up for any deficiencies in their pass game and this was evident LY. This pass game will only be improved for the reasons I explain in my original posts. and 3) The odds were slightly better when/where I place my wager on the Jets.

Sniper- That's one long ass posts...you must of smoked some good shit...lol. I notice a lot of love for Dallas, but personally I like the Vikes, Saints, or Packers over them. I am surprised to see the Redskins at 35-1...guess oddsmakers aren't expecting much from them this year even with McNabb replacing Campbell.

Four weeks until pre-season kicks off
Can't wait either...I know it's early but at the moment, I really like Houston over Indy in week 1.

*Excuse me, Holmes has never made a Pro Bowl selection, but this Super Bowl MVP is certainly capable. Nevertheless, it is a big addition to help this pass offense.
