What concerns me about Miami is that they couldn't even beat Ga. Tech..I look for the rowdy crowd to fire up the hurricanes but FSU will probably have their typical bad start but pull it together late in the game..Think I'll sit out and just watch and enjoy this game.
That rowdy crowd will be 50% or greater Nole fans.....

If it's 3.5 or 4.5 take Miami and the POINTS...Most of this.two.teams play close...And Miami covers 80% of the time when host Fl.St. And winning margins of they game usually comes within the final minutes of the game. GL this week..just for thoughts..

Miami having a hard time beat G.Tech, but when it comes to Miami ,Fl.St always have hard time beating them..F.St. might blow out another teams during second half. But I doubt it they do the same to Miami...I been capping this game over th pass 10 decades but the outcome always the same..dogs 3.5 or 4.5 80% cover.GL

Comes down to this: Duke Johnson is Miami's best hope, he needs his OLine for success, their OLine has injuries. For FSU to win, the have to shut down Duke Johnson, they held UVA to 37 rushing yards on 32 carries. If you're betting on Miami, you're betting on FSU to severely screw up, which they haven't done in 25 games. Don't see it happening here.

When will you people learn to stop doubting Jameis?
WINNERS WIN.
This kid doesn't lose. He's a gamer. He doesnt know anything but winning. I watched Trent Dilfer's Elite 11 back when Jameis was in high school. I predicted then this kid would win the Nat'l Championship and the Heisman. There are no thoughts in his head except winning football games. He is an unstoppable force and UMiami is FAR from an immovable object.

Some of you pathetic morons who think you're hot chit are really cold dyarreha. Take a lesson from a class act macwesties. When he's on the other side he states it and then says may the best team cover. Last night a bunch of morons said Buffalo couldn't cover and look what happened. Why criticize someone's play. If you don't the play just move on. Too many pathetic idiots can only criticize but have nothing constructive to offer. And BTW FSU @UM is a grudge match right? And remember this you pathetic imbecils with nothing to offer, the best team doesn't always win

Geez Sicsemper, seems the only one doing the insulting in this thread is yourself! Look in a mirror bro before you start throwing stones.
Last time I checked, this was a message board used for discussions sports wagering. That's what I see people here doing, looking at both teams and giving their reasons for taking one side over the other. Just because the OP picks one side does not mean others can't respond about relevant reasons for picking the other side. At the end of the day, all of our blathering means little in the context of the game actually being played.

-2 is an absolute joke.
What a fabulously ironic statement... let's revisit this after the game! At (-2.5) when it opened the books were taking about 3:1 action on FSU... at (-1) and (-1.5) they are taking close to 100% action on FSU right now... and probably 90% of the people here on Covers are committed to betting FSU in this game... and you are saying, "When will you people learn?"
Your essay about "all he knows how to do is win" and "all he thinks about is winning" is a steaming pile of cr@p! He thinks about standing on tables in the lunchroom and shouting "F.H.R.I.T.P!", and selling autographs... he is a pea brain!
The idea that someone "doesn't know how to lose" is for sheep! If you believe this FSU team can't be defeated, or is something special, you haven't watched them play...
Against a WEAK schedule of veritable cream puffs, they have struggled mightily... and while Miami is still no juggernaut, this FSU team is not one of the 10 best in CFB!
If you could put together an actual 8-team playoff, they would lose to any and every one of the other 7 teams...
If FSU was in a conference that happened to feature the 8 best teams in CFB, they would go through the year and only manage 1 or 2 wins, and those would be due to catching somebody looking ahead to a real opponent...
Those who continue to buy into this myth that FSU is a "special team" or that Jameis "doesn't know how to lose" (as if that is a real thing... EVER!)... watch and learn! Your bubble will soon be burst, and if they somehow get another miracle win this week, it means they will have to face a real team at the end of the season, and they will get train-wrecked!

Remember... if (when?) FSU plays in the Final 4 at the end of the year, it will be the first time all season they will face one of the 20 best teams in CFB... according to Sagarin, the Golden Mean, and the Football Power Index!
LET ALONE facing a top 10 team... LET ALONE facing an elite top 4 football team!
If you plan on betting FSU against one of those teams... you are the sucker of all suckers!

FEI Degree of Difficulty (record against schedule): 1.Florida State 2.Mississippi State 3.Oregon 4.Alabama
FEI is an advanced stat. It’s intended for people who think and do more than glance at box scores or judge teams on "gut" feelings. That means that FEI isn’t intended for ESPN’s core audience. SOR, Strength of Record, seems to be something that ESPN made up because ESPN refuses to admit that other people know more about sports than they do. It’s an attempt to use an advanced stat. And to complete the answer, they use different info to draw the same conclusion ; FSU is good and played a tough schedule. But again, that goes against ESPN’s core audience, narrative and mission statement.

If FSU was in the SEC East, they would still be undefeated.
If they were in the SEC West, they would take advantage of the SEC scheduling which has the West teams not play each other until late in the season so they would still be undefeated.

Sabanade... you should know by now, I do not watch ESPN... so get off this "ESPN core audience" BS! I make the majority of my picks based on analyzing S.O.S.... NOT based on what websites say, but by cross-referencing every team against every team they have played, in every important category... Pass Offense, Passing Defense, Rushing Offense, Rushing Defense, and Total Offense and Defense... along with margin of victory...
I am not using someone ELSE'S strength of schedule... I am using PURE STATISTICAL ANALYSIS, to come up with adjusted ratings in all of those categories, and I can assure you, unequivocally, and without any bias from any outside source... FSU has played a cupcake schedule, that is not anywhere in the same realm as the schedule played by the teams in the SEC (East OR West), the Big 12, the Pac 12, or even the Big 10 in many cases...
For you to suggest someone else is slurping up koolaid, when you are trying to sell people on the idea that FSU has played a tougher schedule than Miss St, Oregon or Alabama... is absurd!

I think Vegas do that on purpose lure the Public to play FL.St. only 2.5---...Turn out to be a trap game...Take Miami + the 2.5 they win this one straight up...Like last wk.I took Ohio St. vs M.St. while most of the cappers back Michigan St..4-0 on the night game...3-1 morning game 2-2 noon game
record last wk. 12-3 tops play...This game I'm.leaning on Miami....FL. St only 2.5 why's is that....If public is on 90 % Noles. chances.are.they will.loose this.game...Take Miami +2.5--GL

I am just giving a friendly warning here... stop drinking the kool aid on this team... they are good, but they are not great!
Shark, after our several week trial introductory period lol, I have come to enjoy your posts. And I agree that FSU is nowhere near the team they fielded last season because of three main reasons.....
1) First and MOST IMPORTANT: Loss of Center Bryan Stork who now snaps for Tom Brady in New England. His replacement this season, Sr. Austin Barron, has not been nearly as good as anticipated, but he was improving each week..... until he broke his arm against Wake 4 games ago. Barron's replacement, Fr. Ryan Hoefield, has been simply outmatched and confused. The Center is the 2nd most important position on Offense, and this is where the D's are getting all their pressure on Winston and stuffing the running game (allowing LB's to blitz up the middle or play wide to take outside stuff and make quicker throws by Winston). The biggest news this week is that Austin Barron is back this week, and that should make a HUGE difference.
2) Losing 6-5 Kelvin Banjamin and insane route running possession king, Kenny Shaw, at WR. The young guys are insanely talented, but you don't just replace those two in one year.
3) Losses of key players and leaders on D (including DC Jeremy Pruitt), but also Injuries, Injuries, Injuries to the guys that are back. That is why I laugh when I hear that Oregon gets a pass for LOSING to Arizona because their LT was out. If I had another hour, I could list the TONS of injuries to FSU players that have held the team back tremendously.
Bottom line, they have continued to win, and as long as they win, they should be at the top of the pack. Their "competition" will increase in the playoffs (as long as they continue to win), and they should be much healthier by then, and so all of this will play out in the end. Will they lose to Miami on Saturday? They could, but I wouldn't bet on it.....

FSU has not lost since 2012 and to add fuel to the fire the they dropped from number 2 to 3 in the tope 25. They have actually did FSU a favour they have motivated them in a rivalry game.

lmao are you the same dude that faded FSU against Louisville? How did that work out for you???
Let me remind you - winners win. This is FOOTBALL, BROTHER. Statistical analysis DONT MEAN garbage.
I completely agree that they've faced a weak schedule and I would not take them against anyone else in the top 6, Miami is far from that quality.

If you can explain to me where they offered constructive criticism then I will apologize. I suggest maybe you reread my post. I thought I identified the morons and imbecils I was talking about w/o singling them out, but I guess you needed further explanation
