In the words of the not so late Andy Williams.....its the most wonderful time of the year! Against my better judgement as a Gamecock fan breaking the ice on the Death Valley Duel.
Brian Kelly is somewhat of a troubled lad in week one games in the last five years....and that trouble turns to full blown incompetence on the road. The Tigers have yet to take the road trip in week one under Kelly and not lose by two scores or more. Further their road losses both come from less competent opponents. As skilled as Garrett and his squad may be this team seems to need a tune up game and Clemson is no tune up opponent.
Speak of the devil Clemmy on the other hand is shaping up to look like a defensive terror and also possess a very talented guy on the controls, Cade is no Garrett but the kid has style! Death Valley Jr. will be rocking and looking to establish themselves as the TRUE Death Valley. Personnel has changed but Clemson fans don't so quickly forget who ended their run in 2019...5 years may be the statute of limitations but football is all those Seneca rednecks got they want their lick back!
