Houston knew it had a #1 seed locked up no matter what so they must not have cared about this game. still embarrassing to lose a conference championship game like this.

Houston is a very good team. Deserving of a 1 seed. It was a close game but Houston had a key injury and that hurt them. Once ISU got up big, it wasnt worth Houston grinding it out to win. Just keep everyone healthy and ready for the big dance. That's what really matters

Houston is the Florida St football team of college basketball. They’ve had too many key injuries including Juwan Robert’s knee contusion yesterday which really hurt his mobility today.

@Vic-Vega Kelvin don't give a chit about the Big 12 tournament.
he did, until he didnt.
with the injuries, you do what you can but if things arent going your way, just pack it in and get ready for next week. ISU definitely brought their A+ game today

Believe me Sampson gets max efforts out of his players and they bring it every game. You never have to worry about them not bringing their max energy to a game. He’s the same way in practice if you lollygag he will run you out of practice. He’s gets the most out of his players for sure! He still doesn’t get the same talent that some of the traditional basketball schools get.

While you speak of traditional basketball schools and the talent they get, how many games are the coaches of those respective programs allowed to lose before they are under scrutiny? How many seasons are they allowed to fall short in the tournament (or Conference Championship Game?).
Maximum effort? Yeah in the games they are playing against weaker basketball programs. Was it tonight? No...Was it in the Big 12 Championship ass kicking? No. Iowa State didn't even amount to anything. They have a Croatian kid that should be playing Tennis..he pissed all over that Houston defense.
Last season - That's ok Kelvin
Big 12 Championship Game - That's ok Kelvin
Tonight - That's ok Kelvin
Jon Scheyer has inherited the mother of all legacies. Watch what happens to him if Duke start declining.
Yeah those basketball programs have more talent....but you take that role and there is immense pressure and you fight for your job as well as the media and fans every night .
