Day 1- Missouri Betting Thread

1st ever picks since gamblins became legal in Missouri. First entrance is NCAAB for Monday's bets. Will look at MNF and others as well.

N. Alabama vs Jacksonville St.      Jack St -4.5 ( 1 unit) 

Iona vs Delaware u.158.5. ( 1 unit)

UAB vs M. Tenn.      UAB-3.5. (1 unit) 

I am on the other side of two of those- N Alabama and MTU- based primarily on schedule strength and matchups.

 I have JSU for -4.5 for these reasons I came up with in my handicapping: 

JSU has a better net rating in kenpon (-4.99) vs N. Alabama ( -8.55)  that gives them an edge of -3.5. Add in the value that its a home game and it could be -6.5

JSU is one of the slowest temp teams in the nation and being at home it will help them control the tempo of the game. 

JSU has a better defensive rating than N. Alabama ( kenpom) of 104.4 vs 112.4. I think this attributes to JSU excellent defensive rebounding so far in the season. 

N. Alabama has a great 3-point game ( 9.7 ) avg per game made; yet JSU has a great defense at the perimeter holding opponents to (16.9%) of 3's made against them. 

N. Alabama is 0-3 on the road and JSU is 3-1 at home

I think JSU keeps N. Alabama from capitalizing on the 3's to keep them in the game. They control the tempo and are playing at home. The could stomp out 2nd chance points with defensive rebounding. That's why I went with JSU

 I went with UAB -3. 5 for the following reasons: 

UAB has a superior netrtg off kenpom 7.98 than -.21 for MTSU

UAB statically has better ratings in both offense and defense

UAB is a stronger rebounding team ( 45 per game avg vs 39 per gam avg) 

UAB is 9-1 in last 10 matchups; 7-3 against the spread in those matchups
