Mississippi already has the casinos in place, so it would be a no-brainer for them.  I expect some casinos to have sports books ready to take action this football season.

Tua is the reason Alabama probably won't lose a game, and the reason Alabama will probably cover a lot of spreads this season.

Foe example, if Hurts were the QB (and saying that he's a QB is a very loose use of the term QB) taking Louisville +31 would be a no-brainer.  But with Tua, Alabama's offense will routinely score 50+ points, so laying the 31 actually makes sense.

I lean that way as well.  I think Washington has just as much of a chance to win as Auburn does.  To me it's a coin-flip game, so I'll happily play the points here.

an_light  Washington ML may prove to be a shrewd play.

Josh Allen has never been and accurate passer, even going back to his high school days.  I don't see a person who has been inaccurate his entire career morph into an accurate passer in the NFL.  Would have taken Mason Rudolph before Allen.

Will be shocked if Josh Allen is not a bust.  Definitely not worthy of a 1st round selection, and they traded up to get him!  Only time will tell, but I think it was the worst move of the draft.  This has Rob Johnson II written all over it.

"In '98, the Buffalo Bills traded the ninth overall pick and a fourth rounder to Jacksonville for their backup QB based on one good start. Literally one start over three years and a few nice preseason appearances. The Bills signed him to a $25 million contract based on that alone."

Michigan will beat ohio state and sparty this year if patterson stays healthy. I feel like Tagavailoa and Patterson are the two best QBs on the two best teams. Georgia and Clemson will have something to say about it but Im going in on a Saban Vs Harbaugh Championship game

Clemson is a monster,  They'll be tough to stop this season.

Thathas not happened. By his performance in the A day game , not only hashe not shown improvement , but actual regression as a passer. With Coordinator , and coaching changes , as wellas the loss of many defensive starters , an efficientpassing game will be a must for the Tide this season. FWIW , Alabama was not the only prominent College football program to have last years startingQB struggle in this years Spring game. We might see a couple of other starters from last season losestarting jobs as well.As I stated in another thread , teams vying for aChampionship may look somewhat different thisseason due to personnel as well as net productionlosses from last year.

Quite simply. Hurts doesn't posses the necessary skill-set to play QB at this level.

That doesn't work in the nfl. Some organizations just never learn.  And Barkley isn't nfl protential. Unless you call 21 attempts with 44 yards rushing, nfl ready. Spotlight was on him, and he didn't show up to play...i'll pass.

John Dorsey had absolutely nothing to do with drafting Johnny Manziel.  Dorsey has only been on the job for 5 months.  So what a previous GM did or didn't do to your satisfaction is completely inconsequential.

I like Mayfield as well.  His height is a bit of a concern, but I think he has a chance to be really good at the next level.  I don't think Cleveland can go wrong with Mayfield.

The only QB competition at Alabama is to see who will back up Tua, and right now Mac Jones is in the lead.

Take away Jalen's running ability, and he's probably the worst QB in D-I football.  Quite simply, he's not a D-I caliber QB and, out of three scholarship QBs on the roster, he's third best.  I think the Georgia game will be the last start of his college career.  While some other program may take a chance on him if he were to transfer, but I seriously doubt he could actually win the starting gig.

I like a 2 team 6pt tease Bama-1 and Under 55.5.

I was looking for some barking dogs. Thinking Wyoming, Troy, Mid Tenn and Ball State qualify. Would u be so kind as to share your thoughts on these?

Much respect..

I have had very little time to handicap games or post.

Although everything in the Alabama/Florida State matchup points to the defenses being way ahead of the offenses, my gut feeling all summer has been that this game will go OVER the total.  Follow my gut feeling at your own risk.

If you want to play UNDER the total - a much more logical play - I would highly recommend playing the 1st half UNDER provided you can get 24.5 or better.

As far as the side is concerned, I'm on Florida State +7.5 (-120).  Like Clemson, Florida State has the talent to matchup with Alabama, although I'm not convinced they have the depth.  Ultimately I do think Alabama will manage to pull of a squeaker.  I'll call for a 31-27 Alabama victory.

I will say I don't consider either of my plays on this game to be strong plays, so follow at your own risk.

Alabama vs. Florida State +7.5 (-120)

Alabama vs. Florida State OVER 49 (-120)

My "Best Bet" is:

Maryland @ Texas OVER 56  ** Best Bet **

As far a barking dogs are concerned, I will take a flyer on:

Navy @ FAU ML

I was at the Georgia Southern v. Alabama game, and I can tell you that Alabama was in legitimate jeopardy of losing that game outright.  Their great run defense was getting absolutely shredded.

The difference between that one and the upcoming Auburn game is that Auburn will have plenty of time to prepare for the triple option.  Regardless, if one were to bet a side in this game, GSU is the only way to play it.
