He has probably figured out he's better suited to be an OC - especially at this late stage of his career. Doubt he has the energy to be an effective HC. |

No reason to argue with emotional, bar stool capping idiots Rockfish.....
Michigan O is not explosive enough to be a slam dunk play - if they get behind or game is close late, they might just get outscored. Huskies are tough to read - ON PAPER they have little chance. >> D : bottom 5 in rushing success, line yds, and sacks --- bottom 25-30 in havoc rate, tackling, red zone D, TFL. Also among the nation's most penalized (#128 / Mich #1). Looking at the best rating system we have ( Bill C's SP+) you have to go back to 1950 to see a D so lowly rated, playing for a title. yikes
*Raw* numbers put this at 6/7 probably - for me 3 seems about right. Washington plays to their opponents level - a dangerous team AND coach to bet against. Last 32 times Kalen DeBoer has been an underdog, he's COVERED 27. BOL

@TD21 My largest bowl play will probably be Ducks live / 2H..... I can see early disinterest - even a close halftime - then an absolute bludgeoning 2H / late. Conversely - if Ducks get up big early - Liberty is very capable of a nasty backdoor - if in-game line is huge. |

@Moose1986
good man Moose ...... LIBERTY? - sure they kinda fit ..... BUT - IMO their goal has been met, and then some - so how hungry will they be here? They lose? so what Step 2 is to consider the emotional state, and possible matchup issues presented by their opponent. Here it is really nasty...... Ordinarily - you would fade the Ducks in a big way here - but HC Lanning is still in PROGRAM BUILDING MODE - and off an embarrassing loss. Ducks need a nice showing here. What cancels a play on Liberty for me, is that Bo Nix has said he will play. YOU (almost) NEVER FADE A GREAT COLLEGE QB - PLAYING IN HIS LAST GAME. eg. you like Marshall? - you better rethink that S I'll probably play the Ducks live/2H (maybe a massive play) if set up - GTTH I think Liberty gets annihilated. |

Can anyone tell me how a 5-7 team goes bowling and a 6-6 team does not?
in College Football When they decided to have the game after the bowl selections - they were told they must have 6 wins going into this game ..... they agreed.
Army with 2 wins over FCS is out anyway. |

wassup boys .....
FSU? - I wouldn't look at it like "they'll want to prove the committee wrong!" What's the rule? If in fall camp you told them they would play Georgia in the Orange Bowl - they woulda taken it in a heartbeat. So they'll be fine. It's only their 2nd bowl under Norvell ffs. Dawgs? (FSU in OB) this is a death sentence - pride only. |

@Moose1986
It's actually much easier than the regular season.... >> the reason why it's hard for most guys is because they do it wrong
WE are as a rule - BINARY thinkers > here players care or they don't. Bettors also think running on the field 'fired up' is all it really takes. Both takes are extremely stupid - yet most everybody does it .....
FACT: you play like you practice >> bowl practices over the holidays is tough - you don't actually think Georgia is practicing with the same FOCUS vs Fla St / Orange Bowl, as they would for a play-off game, OR vs Bama do you?. Of course they 'care' - but it ain't 100%. This carries over to coaches BTW - who are without a doubt recruiting more than they would otherwise. They also don't bring the same intensity to practice. Notre Dame just killing itself for the stinking SUN BOWL ya think? Ducks really fired up, ready to get down to work for LIBERTY? Maybe it won't matter sure, but if handicapping you have to factor it in.
SO, rather than AX yourself do they care : * where did they want to be when the season began? * what was the realistic goal? - a winning season, bowl game, bowl game W, conf. title, play-off spot, nat. title. * has their goal been met, or is there more work to be done? " HAS THEIR STORY BEEN WRITTEN?"
Then check on the head coach - some simply don't care about bowls at all, and do a poor job - they would rather be recruiting (Kiffin). Some feel they are very important and do a great job. What direction is the program heading - getting worse each year, or better? This game might be HUGE for a program on the rise. Ton of factors, esp. who TF is gonna even be there? But always go back to: " WHO WANTS IT MORE?"
BOL this bowl season boys ............. |

Maybe the biggest thing in Auburn's favor .... ,>> is that Bama players watched that NMSU game too - and no doubt laughed their azz off the entire time ..." bruh we gonna kill these MF's" was said repeatedly ha I see a poor weeks prep for Bama - they know they can just show up / flip a switch and win - but their thoughts are WITHOUT A DOUBT on Georgia - coaches and players. Tough place to play / lotta points vs a highly motivated and well prepared opponent. |

AUBURN?
Obviously looking ahead dontcha think? Supposedly Freeze recruited during that week - they probably didn't work on anything but Bama. Maybe a day or so on NMSU that's it. Plus NOBODY thought NMSU would show up and fight - their QB was hurt / huge PROGRAM CHANGING games on deck......why would they? Pick up the 1.8 million dollar check and go home FFS..... Home team usually wins and always covers here - Auburn at home has won 2 of last 3, covering 3 straight - Auburn has covered 7/9 and is about 7-8 points from 9-0 (at home). Freeze has been called by Kiffin the best game day coach in America - and only lost by 7 to Georgia and Ole Miss. I took Auburn 1H, and 1H ML.
HAPPY THANKSGIVING Wolfe and BOL ..................

Don't think I would play NMSU for the game here - a great 2H team - but it would be really dumb for them to fight for 4Q here >> take your (almost) 2 million check and go home - keep your QB healthy
Note: Hugh Freeze is the most profitable HC as a DD favorite - he loves to cover spreads
If you like NMSU I would take the 14' 1H |
