Dakota Mermis and Marcus Foligno scored one goal apiece for the Wild. Filip Gustavsson stopped 29 shots.

The Wild closed within 3-1 at 3:05 of the third period when Mermis corralled a rebound and scored. Just 1:25 later, Foligno scored his second goal in two games to cut the deficit to 3-2.

Philadelphia regained a 4-2 advantage at 6:34 when Tippett scored after a Wild turnover in their own zone.

Brink's second goal, this time at 11:02, gave the Flyers a 5-2 lead. Sanheim put the game away when he scored at 14:46.

The Flyers went ahead 1-0 at 13:57 of the first when Konecny ripped a wrist shot just under the crossbar and into the net. Nick Seeler received the lone assist.

Philadelphia had eight of the first nine shots and outshot the Wild 12-4 in the opening period.

Couturier scored on the backhand on the power play at 7:28 of the second as the Flyers took a 2-0 lead. Atkinson fired the initial shot and Couturier pounced on the loose puck. The Flyers had been 1-for-20 on the power play before Couturier connected.

Soon after Jake Middleton was whistled for cross-checking Tyson Foerster, the Flyers capitalized as Brink scored on the power play at 9:52 for a 3-0 advantage.

Marcus Johansson skated in and nearly scored at 13:20 in the second period, but Hart denied him with a stellar save.
