The line opened at Pitts -1.5 and now is Pitts -3. I would say that with an opener of 1.5 that the linesmaker thinks that the Bills have a definite shot at winning this game.

Considering what transpired last week in their respective contests, the opener line was an eye opener to me.

For me that line makes a powerful statement...they want bettors to take Pitts in this one so I am betting Buffalo.

By the way, I had Pittsburgh last week against the NY Giants.

Is this your betting strategy? Figure out what the bookmakers are thinking and to go with that perception?    This could be entrapment by the bookmakers, where they already know they have half of the betting world by the short and curlys and even out the money on both sides by having the public, betting on the "nonpublic" play.

Everyone has different methods of handicapping a game but doing it on and opening line and thinking your following Vegas is not going to win you money. I like Pitt. Every game is important for them now. Bills are out. Bell looks like he is back in form. Defence is playing better.

The Bills are not out at all. After this week they have CLE, MIA NYJ. If they beat PIT they can easily finish 10-6 which is usually a playoff record. Very important game for BUF.

I have had great success respecting the lines of the linesmakers. The previous week, Pittsburgh was -6 versus the NY Giants. My first thought was that the wrong team was favored as the Giants were on a 6 game roll and Pitts had just beaten two cupcakes (Cleveland and a Luckless Indy). At best, I would have opened that game at PK so nervously I played Pitts -6 because NY Giants &#x2B;6 seemed too easy and sure enough Pitts blew them out. This game here (Pitts@Buffalo), I would have opened Pitts at least -5 considering their blowout of the Giants and looking so focused and Buffalo having a big lead and melting down in the 4th quarter against Oakland. Had it been Pitts -5 or higher I might have laid off the game. Lo and behold the linemaker opened the game Pitts -1 1/2. Yes, I got the message loud and clear but you will be one of the sheep that marches to their slaughter...enjoy the game and don&#x27;t take any colon cleanse because you will not need it.

Take the bills.  Rex ryan has a history of winning in games like this where a loss ends the post season and puts his future with bills in doubt.  Steelers haven&#x27;t been good on the road against solid teams this year.

No way was Pittsburgh going to be -5 in Buffalo considering how average the Steelers have been on the road this year. They were blown out in Miami and Philly earlier this year. Buffalo always plays tough at home espiecially as an underdog.

Do you think for one second that a line of Pitts - 1 1/2 would not create a wave of Pitts money flowing in considering what has just transpired??? In your wildest drunken dreams do you think that Pitts -1 1/2 created a 50/50 split for incoming bets on this match-up? In my mind a line of Pitts -5 would create a 50/50 split...public perception being what it is.  The books knew that offering Pitts - 1 1/2 would create an avalanche of bets on the Steelers and by all appearances that has happened. The line-maker is appealing to public perception and the hoover vacuum cleaners are all out sucking up gobs of money on the black and gold. Buffalo &#x2B;3

Another way to explain this is...if you owned a sports-book would YOU put up the number Pittsburgh - 1 1/2 considering what has recently transpired which is what public perception (not ours) is based on??? Be honest or Santa will put coal in your stocking this year.

What about Tampa Bay by 2.5 over NO? Tampa has been rolling and NO has no defense to speak of and they looked horrible last week. This line is telling me to take the Saints? The line should be minimum 4 for Tampa. I was reading New Orleans has won 8 of 9 in this series. Also Tampa horrible as a favourite and the Saints great as a dog.

hope so. not impossible.i don&#x27;t know if this Bills team has it in them psychologically to come back after a crushing lost last week. can deflate them but.. Rex Ryan&#x27;s job might still be on the line so will they play for him?wishful thinking, but sadly i think Steelers roll here.
