Nebraska is not the play. Indiana to cover and should pull away considering Nebraska can't score. Bo Spencer is the only good player they have anyways.

Nropp,
Arkansas seems to be a good pick, I was not a strong believer until their last game where they absolutely destroyed Mississippi State. Despite being on the road this Ole Miss team (Nelson dismissed) lacks the depth and shooters to keep up with the fast pace tempo Arkansas plays. Your thoughts? Best play I see Arkansas either PK or +1.

Neil, I usually agree with you but I am not buying the bs on ULL over UCF. They have beat McNeese State, DIII Dillard, Nichols State, and Houston Baptist at home. They lost to Cal State Fullerton at home. Whether they are better at home or not UCF is clearly the better team by quite a large measure. I will lighten up on this game because I respect your picks by a wide measure and the tempo will be up but I would not dare take ULL. Also, here is a surpise for thought. Taking Tenn. Martin +22 vs Murray State Should be a let down game for Murray and they never crush opponents by as much as they should. Tenn. Martin is terrible but they will cover. Any thoughts on this game Nropp? |

Let's talk about UCF vs UL Lafayette. It looks and smells like a trap, this game almost seems too easy which makes me nervous. Thoughts on this Nropp?

For what it is worth.
Duke -6 over Michigan Duke is the best team in the country and Michigan is overrated after a lucky victory vs Memphis. I guess lucky is the wrong word but Memphis is the much more talented team. Memphis -2 over Tennessee Memphis has a top 10 program this year and lost a poor shooting game vs Michigan's controlled and calculated offense. Expect Memphis to take the in state rivalry vs Bruce Pearl's leftovers at Tennessee. Detroit Pk vs Bowling Green Are you joking? Detroit had one bad game shooting and turnovers and Vegas over reacts. McCallum and company should easily defeat Bowling Green as they have exceptional talent and are the team to beat in the Horizon league this year. I have seen both Bowling Green and Detroit play, this line is a gift for the holidays. My favorite pick of the day. Notre Dame -3 vs Georgia I went to Georgia. That being said we lost all of our talent besides Glen Robinson's son and a freshman who was a highly rated recruit. Mark Fox is doing the best he can but last night the game vs California showed all of our flaws of being a young team and not ready to compete on the same level right now. Notre Dame got blown out by a fast paced Missouri team that should be a good top 10 program and I believe that is the only reason this line is this low. Notre Dame is a top 25 team (I have seen them play as well) and Georgia is rebuilding this season. Should be a fairly easy victory for Notre Dame. I hate saying that too because I love my team but facts are facts. I also like La Salle (+15) vs Pitt (Pitt was already exposed so I am surprised the line is this high), Elon +10 vs Princeton (should easily cover in slow princeton offense, they beat South Carolina already this year), and Missouri (-2) vs California (high paced game but Missouri has the better press defense, don't be fooled by Cal's blowouts they have not played anyone to date, this game should be very close until the end). |

I get the feeling Western Kentucky +11.5 is too much for defensive Tulsa to cover. I am taking Western Kentucky +12 and hoping they can hit their shots. Both teams are in a rebuilding year and I expect Western Kentucky to cover.

I like some good matchups tonight. Picks: Long Beach State (+13.5)@ Pittsburgh Pittsburgh is overrated and Long Beach State has 4 seniors this year that need to make a statement for the NCAA tourney. Expect this game to be tight all the way down and I believe LBS can actually win, should be close enough to cover 14 points at least (buy the half point fellas). Indiana (-4) @ Evansville I bought the two points to make it -2 but I believe -3 would be fine. Don't be fooled by the OT win over Butler, it is a rebuilding year for Butler. Also, Tom Crean has a lot on the line and he has the better team in this matchup. I don't particularly like Indiana's team without Maurice Creek but the matchup here easily favors Indiana and is not purely name recognition. (By the way Butler should have won the game they blew it) Take Indiana. Lean- Boise State over Utah (-6), Boise State is at home and the lineup Utah is trotting out couldn't beat D-II teams. I take the home team but I wish the line was lower, will buy points to make it -3 if I get a chance but line is on the move... Lean- Hofstra +9.5 @ Oregon State- Nropp11s right up is about as perfect as it gets. Oregon State is not good and Hofstra should shoot a load of 3s. Cover is easy enough and win if they get real hot on 3s. Don't have the balls to take Hofstra ML on this though. |
