A lot of non religious people have always understood this. Also, just because the religious are for it---doesn't necessarily make it bad. They have a lot of good rules as well.

I would imagine as has been done before---slipping something into food etc.
Yes---but what do you charge someone that harms the fetus with? Assault?

Where did I say that?? How cute for you to purposefully try to sidestep into something else. If people don't like it---they have an avenue for change---it has been used very effectively for many, many years. Sheltered? How are they sheltered? Just because that sounds cool? So, what if they are elite? That's still their choice to run---also still your choice to vote for them, or not. That's is the same as these knuckleheads that refuse to go vote because their candidate isn't in the mix. Don'y really care about this issue. For example, the abortion law has been changed and is constantly being attempted to be changed again.
That is where some of your disagreement with the folks deviates, when you say it---because YOU don't think it has been brought into existence, yet. They will disagree with you there. You will not want to listen to anything they say---because it does not fit your own personal agenda is all.
No. Government should not be given ownership. The person responsible should be made to take ownership is all. Big difference. The argument is the same---they feel the most defenseless should be given protection is all.
People are NOT telling women what to do with their body; they are telling them what to do with the body inside them. The same as they do until your charge is 18 or so. You are being told to be responsible. Nobody ever wants to be told what to do, ever. People always want to do what suites them. Self has become overwhelmingly an issue. That is whether the kids are unborn or 12 or 17. Parents no longer feel it is their duty to raise their own kids. And you better not tell them they should either. It has gotten crazy.
Again, you seem afraid the government is bullying and forcing people to do something so ridiculous; they aren't. That is just the spin most Liberals try to put on it and say they are confused as to why Republicans don't agree with them. It is simply because it is not the correct premise for the argument is all. They are swerving the whole point.
Nobody has a problem with the government protecting a spotted owl. Or protecting a 3 month old or protecting an 88-year old. It is simply a copout---and not even a good one. Because it is obvious they ignore the front discussion to try to rush the discussion to an area where they can try to justify it. Weird to me the extent folks will go to when they want their way or only want their feeelings taken into account.

Nah---simply saying that is not the issue from the other side---that is the one some people attempt to use because they feel it will sway the most people, the easiest. I will say that it does appear to work for most.
