If you don't like the juice then put Verlander and the Tigers in a 2 tm parlay....I did w/ Boston against the struggling Jays. 142/200.....CWS are just as hot as the Tigers. However, you can't ignore JV and his stats against the Sox and the FACT Peavy has been struggling. Sure CWS can win this game because they're a good ball club. I decided to forgo the juice and throw in another tm I believe to have a very good chance at a W tonight and get a litle bit more back for my buck. JMO as I wouldn't lay the heavy juice staright up and wouldn't play CWS against a determined JV and Tigers squad.
GL w/ your plays tonight everyone
And to answer the original thread question, the answer has to be because of value. There's no statistical reason to play the Sox other than they're a good tm getting a good # tonight. But remember, there's a reason they're getting this #. All depends on your bank roll and if you're willing to "gamble"

"Anyone can RIGHT a bunch of crap about probababilites but the bottome line is winning and losing and he loses over half the time."
Ohhhh! Take that shit, Key! And stop worrying about silly probabilities when you're trying to predict the probability of a team winning a game. Just pick the winner...it's easy to do. Lay a consistent average of -155 per play and hit 70% like the best MLB cappers are doing.

The best thing that could have happened for the OP here was to for the ChiSox to win period... it will happen eventually, the sooner the better for his future in sports wagering.
There is so much insane thinking in this thread it should be archived,,, seriously. If this site exists at all to help out potential sports betters, this should be required reading. Followed up with a passing grade on a detailed comprehension test (let's make it essay), before one is allowed to make a user name.
