This season, in situations where Phi has lost 2 in a row, they have a 5-2 record. They were held to 1 run in each of their 2 losses. Karstens & Westbrook were the opposing pitchers they faced in each of those two losses. One has to think (at least I do) Lowe will have to pitch a similar gem in order to beat the Phillies today. The last time he faced Phi he gave up 4 runs and 10 hits in 6 innings. He did win 5-0 at Phi on May 6th and he was facing Cliff Lee in that game. He lost 3-0 on April 10 giving up 2 ER in 7IP that day. Hamels was opposing SP.
With the Phillies giving him some extra days rest the past few weeks, I think we will see a solid Cliff Lee today. It's not a sure thing by any stretch but I'm feeling like Under FF might be the best play here....I think the Braves and Lowe will compete their tails off today as they know if they have any hope at all of winning the division they need to win HTH against the Phils every chance they get.
