Been on Covers for a long time now, but I rarely post picks, even though I've been betting sports since I was in high school. (Degenerate, I know...) I bet peanuts. I consider a unit to be $10, which is what I usually put on parlays, with anywhere from 2-5 units going on a flat game. Most of my picks come from a combination of what I've learned playing fantasy sports, using the stats pages, and generally fading the public as much as I can. All that being said, it's time for me to put my picks out there. (Good fade material for everyone! )
Minnesota -106. Risking 5units (53 to win 50)
Correia has been shaky this year, at best. Not to mention the Twins are coming into this one on a 3 game losing streak, and playing Texas: winners of 4 out of their last 5. Nothing about this line makes much sense to me, considering the public appears to be all over Texas with the line moving towards Minnesota. Reverse line move is telling me to take the Twinkies in this one. Tepesch was close to a 5 ERA guy last season, and lacks the ability to go deep into games. Good luck whether you're on it or against it!
