QB Rakeem Cato is Back after leading the country in Passing with 365.1 YPG ..
7 Starters Return on Offense including Tommy Shuler who had 110 catches .
4 Starters return on the O-Line
The Schedule Looks pretty soft .. other than at Va Tech , and at Tulsa all others could be winnable S/Up...
OK so Maybe you do NOT want 7 starters returning on a defense that allowed 43.1 PPG ... But they can only be better right ???

what do you think about these two from week 2
Oregon -24 over UVA (Game at UVA) - spread is an estimate
Oregon has a new coach under a lot of pressure to assure Oregon fans that there will be no coaching drop off after Kelly departure. Oregon opens with Nichols State. This game will be east coast and a chance to demonstrate what they can do in prime time for the east coast elite press with regard to BCS ramifications and potential Heisman for QB and RB. UVA's is a tough spot at QB. I think Oregon could cover this by the half. And unlike blowouts from last year, I think they would keep scoring until at least 50 while limiting opp on D. On the road is always scary and giving up 24 to a ACC team risky, but it appears that Oregon plays as good on the road as at Auzen ATS. and like I said, if this fame was at FAU or Middle Tenn St. Oregon would get a good lead then rest. I think they will go all out against UVA. granted they have Tenn on deck, but with the Tenn turnover at the skill positions (granted OL is highly regarded), they will focus on UVA. Your thoughts?
Stanford (Game at Stanford) -15 over San Jose St - spread is an estimate
SJ almost shocked Stan last year. Stan D is suppose to be one of the best in the country from what I have seen. SJ has a new coach, new systems. I think the spread will be about two TD's and Stan won't take them lightly this year. Traditionally, Stan has owned SJ ATS until last year. I think with Shaw and a returning QB, and WR' (except the top 2 TE's along with an outstanding D along with SJ now being on Stan's radar, Stan will TCB and cover in week 2. (assuming my spread estimate is accurate. Your thoughts?
I am trying to plan out the first five weeks (very preliminary) before I even see P Steele. His power ratings can be skewed and can have a strong influence on your perceptions of the teams.
Thanks in advance for your week 2 perspectives...

Brother Longhorn
Not sure about Oregon and Stanford in those spots ...
The Ducks might be a play for me every week though ... Like brother Wiseguy it depends on the Number odds makers put out
I still like SJ St despite the changes ... guessing that Line will be closer to 20... likely a pass for me ....
