Whats up kids!? The Train has been draggin' caboose lately.....
Great season, crappy bowl season......
Anywho.......
Not gonna do an X and O writeup.....
Bama is Bama. They do everything very well. They are coached well. They play hard. Henry is a beast.
Clemson has 2 very good lines, and decent runner and the best QB in the country.
Bottomline.......
I think Watson is the type of player that is the ONLY thing Saban cant stop. I'm not talking about "running qbs" like Dak Prescott....he aint faster than Bamas linemen!! If you try and play NFL style he will eat your lunch for you. Throw a wild card in the mix that can run and pass, and his linebackers effectiveness goes waaaaay down. They are fast, but very robotic.
Coker, I believe, is gonna lose this game for Bama. I dont think he will be throwing the ball downfield at all. I think Clemsons front 7 can limit Henry....

Word Train, good luck. Actually like the prospect kiffin tries to use coker too much. he's been confident in his play card as of late. Also kind of bugs me that K-Smart has been gettin ready for this game by hiring a bunch of UGA coaches, checkin out their bowl game, etc... Maybe coaching 2 SEC teams is just that easy.

Train I've been following most of your picks all season, but just can't here. I think Bama has way too much talent to let this one get away. The tide rolls in the second half 34 to 17.

I think you are failing to see that the Tennessee offense is pretty much identical to Clemson's... Even Reggie Ragland and Kirby Smart said this much on media day. Reggie Ragland feels like if they were able to stop Dobbs and Tennessee, they can stop Clemson's offense. I agree totally from what I have seen, and the sad thing is, Alabama was extremely gassed in that game. They had came off a ridiculous SEC schedule and I am proud of them for surviving it. I have been to 5 games this season. And in the Tennessee game, the players looked slow. They were limping back to the sidelines and huddles and nursing injuries. We needed that bye week before LSU bad...
I completely disagree that our offense will be stopped... Clemson's defense gives up lots of big runs and plays, and they have not see anything close to our offensive line and Ryan Kelly and Derrick Henry... Coker will do fine also...

Dobbs is also not the pass threat Watson is... Also tough to make the case the O's are spot on similar after Tenn and Clem both played OU and other good teams this year. Clem just seems to have more O options than anything bama's seen this year so Bama layin 7 feels like too much risk.

Saying that one player is better than another is irrelevant and that is not the point I am making... Kirby Smart and Nick Saban are aware of how much better of a player he is than probably any team we have faced, but the point is, is that they have seen that style of offense and can prepare for it. We have better athletes than Clemson, and that fact cannot be argued, so it is a matter of being prepared and I think Alabama will be.

Been following as a guest. New to this forum, but I've been betting football 40+ yrs. Obviously I'm on the other side here, but have went with train, megalocks, as well as some others quite a few times this season. I have read most all the posts all season, so I joined to throw in an op. Here and there.

All true Saban & Smart are the best in the biz. What's keeping me off the bama spread is no other team bama played seems to have all the tools clemson has. LSU, A&M, MSU all one dimensional... bama takes that away and they all got burned. Ark, Tenn, OM even Aub have varied level of run and pass ability and but for a saving grace TD against Aub, all those games cash ATS.. Trick to keeping it close, don't just hand the ball back to bama and I don't see clem doing that.. tack on Clem's D and i think it's a real ball game....
Also interesting is the Under cashes when bama plays Tenn, Ark, Aub... not OM (+5 TO's)... so just some thoughts, I kinda like hitting bama ML and Clem +7 and hope for the middle, still thinking.

Thanks for everything this season Train - you are one of the best if not the best cappers. I agree with the Clemson pick and the over pick. Good Luck as always and hope to see your threads again next season.

In this type (all or nothing / final ) type of game....you should either bet the favorite > lay the points....or the dog ML *about a 85% + proposition in all bowls *in BCS title games / all recent play-off games....21 or so...the winner of the game has only NOT COVERED....ONE TIME (Auburn vs FSU)....> 95% of the time just pick the SU winner...ignore pointspread
The impediment to action advances action - what stands in the way becomes the way.

Bama 38 - 10
So Tenn vs Clemson on neutral field is a pick em?
The trouble with comparisons is they tend to back up your original thought, thus proving yourself right.....
I tend to think Clemson most resembles Ole Miss....which didnt turn out well for Bama.....

Dont be shocked if this game goes to OT
Somebody wins 31-28
Clemson +7 & O50.5
GL boys
BOL T and should be a good one. No need as you say to post a long write-up, but DW4 should be the difference....
