UConn has been a machine, dispatching every opponent by an average of 25+ points. In the tournament they have added to that and are simply crushing the team in fron of them on every front. The one thing that goes unnoticed with this team is their ferocious tenacity on the boards and their defensive prowess. This, with of course their precise and efficient offense, will be the differences against an upstart Baylor squad.
Baylor comes in to the game on an absolute high, and is relishing the opportunity against the high-powered Huskies. However, unlike against Tennesee and Duke, this time they have bitten off more than they can chew. Geno Auriemma is a master at preparing his team against any adversity... in this case, that adversity is named Brittny Griner. The 6-8 Frosh is a manace down low and has taken the womens game by storm. The problem is, UConn has the best low post presence in the nation in Tina Charles, an experienced offensive and defensive gem. Charles will be the difference here and will get Griner in early foul trouble taking her out of the game. Baylor does not have the offense to make up for this loss and does not shoot the ball well enough to hand with the Huskies.
Look for Maya Moore and her assortment of weapons to shoot down the Bears and Giant Griner.
