Arkansas State quarterback Justice Hansen capped a game-winning drive with an 8-yard touchdown pass with nine seconds to play, stunning Georgia Southern 27-26 Wednesday at Centennial Stadium in Jonesboro, Arkansas.

Georgia Southern (4-2, 3-1 Sun Belt) made big plays in the passing game and on special teams, but failed to take full advantage of five Arkansas State turnovers in the loss.

Georgia Southern receiver Myles Campbell had a 63-yard catch and run in the third quarter, and Keigan Williams recovered a fumble on a muffed punt that flipped the field in the fourth quarter and led to Younghoe Koo's fourth field goal of the night, giving the Eagles a 26-17 lead.

Georgia Southern had to settle for field goals on its three trips to the red zone and was clinging to a 26-20 lead late in the fourth quarter.

Hansen, who had struggled for much of the night, had an 18-yard scramble on a 4th-and-16 on the winning drive and hit two key throws to move the Red Wolves inside the Georgia Southern 10-yard line with nine seconds to play. He lofted a fade pass into the back right corner of the end zone, and Bayless made a spinning, diving catch for the touchdown. It was his only reception of the game.

Arkansas State (1-4, 1-0 Sun Belt) turned it over three times in the first quarter.

Georgia Southern's L.A. Ramsby had a 61-yard touchdown run in the first quarter for the Eagles, who led 13-10 at halftime.
