Guard Anthony Mathis scored 16 of his career-high 30 points in the first half, and the hot-shooting and 15th-ranked Oregon Ducks coasted to a 106-75 win over Boise State on Saturday night in Eugene, Ore.

Mathis, a graduate transfer from New Mexico, knocked down a career high of nine 3-pointers on 11 attempts. Oregon (2-0) also got 19 points, seven assists and six rebounds from senior guard Payton Pritchard, giving him 501 assists for his college career.

Pritchard moved into third place in school history, ahead of former NBA player Luke Ridnour, who had 500.

Guard Derrick Alston led Boise State (1-1) with 28 points, and Alex Hobbs added 18. But the Broncos couldn't contend with Oregon's 70 percent shooting as a team (42 of 60), including 13 of 19 on 3-pointers.

The Ducks were without center Francis Okoro, who was struck by a car earlier this week. He scored 10 points and grabbed 10 rebounds in Oregon's season-opening win Tuesday over Fresno State. Okoro was taken to a hospital after the accident and later released, according to a report, and was on the bench with his teammates Saturday.

After Saturday's game was tied at 6, the Ducks went on a 16-5 run to take a 22-11 lead on Addison Patterson's layup with 11:21 to play in the first half. Patterson, a freshman, made all seven of his shots en route to 17 points.

Boise State cut the lead to five, but Oregon went ahead 44-26 with 1:10 left on Mathis' fifth 3-pointer of the first half.

Pritchard's quick driving layup with 18 minutes left in the second half gave Oregon a 54-33 lead, and on the next possession, Mathis swished a wide open 3-pointer to give the Ducks a 24-point lead.

The Ducks led by as many as 36 in the second half, using only eight players but tuning up for a marquee matchup against No. 14 Memphis on Tuesday in Portland, Ore.
