Junior Omer Yurtseven recorded his second straight double-double to begin his Georgetown career and the Hoyas dominated Central Arkansas on the boards in an 89-78 win on Saturday afternoon in Washington.

Yurtseven, a 7-foot transfer from North Carolina State, had 17 points, 15 rebounds and three blocks in just 20 minutes of action after going for 20 points and 12 rebounds in Georgetown's 81-68 victory over Mount St. Mary's on Wednesday. He was into double figures in both points and rebounds with 5:29 left in the first half, keying a 55-31 rebounding edge for the Hoyas.

It was a much less stressful game for Georgetown (2-0) than its victory over Mount St. Mary's, in which the Hoyas needed a 20-1 run at the end to avoid the upset. The Hoyas led for all but 1:59 of the first half against Central Arkansas (1-2).

Georgetown used a late 13-0 run to lead 54-42 at halftime, averaging nearly 1.3 points per possession despite 10 turnovers.

Central Arkansas made six of its first seven shots to open the second half, pulling within 64-55 on a 3-pointer by junior center Hayden Koval with 16:51 left. But then the Bears had two scoring droughts of more than four minutes apiece, allowing the Hoyas to rebuild and maintain a double-digit edge until the final minute of the second half.

Koval made 4 of 5 attempts from 3-point range and finished with 21 points while sophomore wing Eddy Kayouloud had 15 points for the Bears, who made 12 3-pounters but shot only 38.4 percent overall.

Georgetown also received 13 points from senior guard Jagan Mosley, who was perfect from the field and the foul line.
