Reserve forward Montrezl Harrell scored 19 of his 30 points in the first half, and Danilo Gallinari added 23 as the visiting Los Angeles Clippers built a big early lead, then held on for a 112-106 victory over the Memphis Grizzlies on Friday.

The game marked the return from the All-Star break for both teams.

Lou Williams scored 18 points off the bench for the Clippers, who won for the fourth time in their past six games, with five of those contests on the road.

Mike Conley scored 25 points and handed out 10 assists, while Joakim Noah added a season-high 22 points plus 11 rebounds for Memphis. The Grizzlies lost for the fourth time in their past five games, all since forward Marc Gasol was dealt to the Toronto Raptors at the Feb. 7 NBA trade deadline.

Harrell made all six of his shots from the field in the highest-scoring first half of his career. The Clippers roared out to a 22-point lead in the second quarter and withstood a Memphis run at the end of the period to take a 65-53 advantage into at halftime.

However, the Grizzlies outscored the Clippers 33-18 in the third quarter to take an 86-83 lead. The advantage was hardly safe against a Los Angeles team that rallied from three deficits of at least 20 points to win games on its last road trip.

In a tight fourth quarter, Harrell delivered a three-point play with 1:11 remaining to give the Clippers an eight-point advantage and effectively seal the victory.

The Clippers and Grizzlies were two of the busiest teams at the trade deadline, with Los Angeles moving leading scorer Tobias Harris to the Philadelphia 76ers. But the Clippers' recent winning run has come all since reinforcements such as Landry Shamet and Ivica Zubac arrived.

The Clippers and Grizzlies even made a trade with each other as JaMychal Green and Garrett Temple came to Los Angeles, while Avery Bradley went to Memphis. Green scored seven points Friday, while Temple did not score in 17 minutes. Bradley had 17 points for the Grizzlies.

Memphis was without forward Jaren Jackson Jr., who is dealing with a lingering quadriceps issue. Also out was center Jonas Valanciunas, who remained in his native Lithuania following the break to tend to personal issues.
