You win the toss and have the opportunity to win the game against a depleted Niners defense, but you choose to kick? Rams defense was playing well in the 2nd half for sure, but you had the chance to win the game and kicked it away. Then you overcompensate for that bad decision by doubling down and making another bad decision in OT. This guy gets too much credit.

Ummm, both teams get the ball in OT!! Wake up and know the rules…
Advantage of getting the ball 2nd is knowing exactly what is needed. Only disadvantage is if the team that gets the ball first moves the ball methodically down field and eats up most of the 10 minutes.

no, just like in college. If team that gets ball first turn over, then 2nd team needs a fg to win. if first team gets a fg, 2nd team can either tie or td to win. if first team gets a td, at least you know you're working with 4 downs to get get a td. aint no way you're telling me it's better to get the ball first when literally in college you see all the coaches elect to get it 2nd. Only coach i ever seen want the ball first is Deion Sanders and we know how he coaches.

Its not the same as college........had Rams decided to tie with a field goal there the Niners had plenty of time to go down and win game with field goal.......and Rams would not have had ball again like in a college game......certainly played into why Rams went on fourth and one....hoping to get first down and then win game from there.....had to like your chances to get a yard the way they had been moving the ball

Excuse me I had Jones over 213 yards passing. I had the 49ers in the first half. I have the 49ers for the game. I had the 49ers team total over 7 1/2 second half so speak for yourself

Typical game where heavily favored home team spoils every chance they have to win the game. It wasn't McVay at all. It was Williams and Carty who gave the game back to San Francisco.

Beautiful way to lose survivor pick. I laughed once I saw Williams fumble at the goal line. You see enough shit in your life doing this you don't react every time. Least I stopped years ago. I had no play on the spread either way. Leaned 49ers but thought LA would take care of business.
