Give me your best five picks for week 1. Trying to narrow my card to about 4 games. I love S. Carolina, like Tennessee, Northwestern, Michigan St., and Bama. I might just ride the tide all season until they prove unbet worthy.

strongly disagree with you on S carolina. Good luck on the rest of your plays. ( never really understood why people say good luck to someone when they are on the opposite side)

covered it extensively in 2-3 posts (for whatever reason) in Nos' week 1 picks thread.........
After disastrous 5-7 in 2010..... Horns basically started over last year....too many new coaches and players....(30/44 in 2 deep were fr or soph).......and Gilbert got all the important reps until week 2 somehow....(must look great in practice)
Still when healthy...Horns had flashes nice road wins at UCLA ...Iowa St...A&M....and Cal rushed for almost 900 yards total...vs Tech and Kansas
OU only "bad" loss....5 TO's but got whipped
*shoulda beat Okie St at home....shut down Weeden....and controlled game really.....D/ST allowed big plays that cost them the game
*top 3 RB's and WR Shipley out vs Mizzou in loss
*beat up Kan St but lost a close one....(KSU 121 total yards)
*Out-gained Baylor 557-511 but lost....(12 penalties/6 TO's)
NOW....in 2nd year of new offensive and defensive systems...they should be a helluva lot better
Steele ranks them by unit....... RB's #4 DL #4 WR #12 LB #20 OL #8 DB #1
Horns have to come out and establish their new identity as a tough running team....Wyoming should not be able to stop em.......and should struggle in a big way to move it (their K is even out) .....Mack needs a blowout and should get it here
The impediment to action advances action - what stands in the way becomes the way.
