No Tuesday play, which I have instead studied the Wednesday menu and locked in the following plays - feel free to take part of tomorrows thoughts already as I will not have time to post this later on - hence the early post. Good luck lads!
The first three picks are from Sweden, Allsvenskan.
Orebro - Malmo: Pick: Malmo @ 1.80 (1 u)
Hard to go against Malmo right now who has not lost in a very long time. Excellent start of the season, three straight victories and 7:0 in goal difference. This is a road game versus newcomers Orebro who play on their artifictial turf, something that is not an issue for Malmo who has been having practice sessions on their own artifictial turf, and their game is based on passing to the feet, not through the air - so this turf can really speed up Malmo's game and that is difficult to stop for any opponent in Sweden. Orebro are not overly shabby as a team either, but they are newcomers and will take on the currenct champions who does not look like they are slowing down at all. I am riding the Malmo wave until they drop points.. simple as that. Malmo has a fully healthy team, while Orebro are missing one rotation striker and a defensive midfielder, no major blows. ____________
Odds have dropped from 1.85 to around 1.70 now, or even lower at some bookies. I managed to lock it in at 1.73 which I find decent enough. Mjallby are a terrible road team, but on paper they are equal to Norrkoping, perhaps slightly below in terms of quality. This will be a game which Norrkoping clearly should dictate on their artifictial turf.. the reason I keep on nagging about this kind of turf is because this is a factor not many bettors consider - Allsvenskan is a league where some teams are completely specialised in this kind of surface, and once they play on natural grass they suddenly forget how to play soccer. Norrkoping gave the normally superior Helsingborg team a lesson in how to play on this turf, so normally - teams who come here usually find themselves in a disadvantage. Mjallby are not the team who plays a passing game to the feet, but rely more on the physical "fighting" aspect, hard working team. Norrkoping have consecutive clean sheets, and this may be a problem for Mjallby as they are the team in the league lacking the most creativity when going forward. I see Norrkoping playing the much faster game, finding space with their ball movement to punish the quite static and slow defenders of Mjallby, thereof 2 units here to try to squeeze out some value out of this. Good one to combine in a parlay if you prefer. ____________
Hacken - Halmstad: Pick: Hacken -1.5 @ 2.30 (1 u)
Hacken were somewhat of the "dark horse" coming into the season as potential title contenders. They are tough to beat at home, and generally involved in high scoring games. Hackens last 3 home games have finished 2-0, 3-0, 2-0, and I see a similar scoreline versus Halmstad who look like the clear relegation candidates early on the season, with barely anything going forward, one goal and five conceded over 3 games so far for Halmstad which includes a loss at home versus newcomers Orebro. This is one of the toughest road games in Allsvenskan, even a team like Malmo has struggled here during the past couple of seasons losing 5-0 and 2-0. I was hesitating wether to play "over 2.5" here or the handicap line on Hacken. I find both good options, but I shall admit I got a little greedy chasing the better odds at 2.30, they feel worth is and they are the superior team on paper. I do expect Halmstad to begin to play better soon, but not against this kind of opposition. ____________ Swiss parlay @ 3.06 (1.5 u) Grasshoppers - Thun: Pick: Grasshoppers @ 1.80 Basel - Zurich: Pick: Basel @ 1.70
Two teams in the title race, playing at home for crucial points. One point separates Basel from Grasshoppers which means there are no room for errors or else they will lose ground. Grasshoppers are in brilliant form having won their last 6 games, and they are taking on FC Thun who has nothing to play for as they are in the middle of the table. The reason for the high odds at 1.80 appears to be Grasshoppers questionable home record (6th best home team in the league with a 7-3-4 record) but I see them earn these heavy points regardless while they are riding their six game win streak against Thun who only has 2 road wins in 14 attempts.
Basel does not need any introduction as they are well known to most of us, they boast the best home record with 8-5-1 overall, and take on a very shaky Zurich team at the moment who are winless in their last 5 league games struggling to get the 3 pointers. Zurich though have plenty to play for as well - they need the Europa League spots, but I do not see them earning any points on a road game against league best Basel who also need all the points here. The parlay offers 3.06 which looks very tempting for two title candidates chasing the title at their own home turfs

sweem what is your thoughts for todays game....I know odd have Sirius as big fav is that justified?
Both Sirius and Husqvarna are newcomers, but Sirus has a squad good enough to be promoted to be honest, top 5 at least. They have been dubbed "the best newcomers of all time" but it's hard to say after only 1 game played. I believe they win but odds of 1.30 is garbage, Not so sure about the handicaps either, and the over would be the most interesting play in that case, However with Husqvarna sitting back all game trying to get a point, the goals may not come too easy - no play for me

thanks I am becoming a fan of Swedish soccer.....do you have a favorite team in the league
As a Malmo native I have to say Malmo Therefore I rarely bet games involving them, only if I really believe there is something to gain from their game. You don't see Malmo stand in 1.80 against a newcomer, sounds too good to be true so I had to take it this time

hey sweem, i would like to thank you for all your advice this year. I have been tailing you for the past few months and have cashed in doing so. I also have become a fan of the portuguese league in the process. Keep up the good work. But just out of curiosity, ive noticed you are pretty selective with your picks. Will you be placing bets on the World Cup? It would be nice to cash on your expertise during the summer when most leagues are on break. Just thought I would ask. Good luck tmrw. im tailing on all.

Hi Drab4 & thanks for your kindness and input - glad you've been doing well and I hope to keep going green (profit) throughout the end of the year, that is the goal in sight.
Portuguese league is something I started to follow last year, and even more intensely this season, I am mostly picking games in leagues that I watch on a regular basis, this includes Sweden and Portugal as well as some smaller league here and there if I find a good enough spot or reason to do so - Obviously, also all major tournaments such as Europa League etc. World cup is such an event - so I will likely have something coming up as we approach the kickoff there, at least I plan to do so. Good luck to you as well tomorrow, hope we can cash in some

Thanks for raising my awareness on the Hacken game, seems like oddsmakers took a break and the intern proceeded with making the odds. I even managed to get 2.36 but anything above 2.00 seems to good to be true.
And what happened to your I can't back my team vow?
What is your take on the Stockholm derby? I could see AIK taking this one, Djurgarden with a good start but mostly against opponents that I deem more than beatable.

Sweem, Too early in the Swedish season for me. I like to have some history to draw from. But i do like your insight on both Portugal and Sweden, and have benefited greatly. Keep up the great work

Kaiser - I'd agree with that, anything over 2.00 is playable on Hacken for sure. And the "I dislike to back my team" rule usually lasts unless I find something that is too irresistible, and in this case, giving Malmo at 1.80 versus a newcomer is something we won't see happening again for sure, so I had to take my chances! ^^ haha and the Stockholm Derby is a "hands off" game for me, I'd lean towards Djurgarden though, they've been playing better so far, and all of the AIK matches so far have been very questionable performance wise, but - this is a massive derby and that's a motivational factor for both teams, so maybe draw? either way, I can't get a real feel for the game, thereof hands off. GL KAISER :)

Franz - exactly, it's yet early which also means bookies odds makings are somewhat a bit off sometimes which I am trying to take advantage of when it's there, this is the most difficult time of the year in Swedish soccer for oddsmakers so I am playing them kind of low until now (1-2 units) because it's early on. Thanks for the good words Franz! Glad to hear it has benefited you greatly mate :) hope to keep going! Good luck pal

Nice writeup as always Sweem!..Im on Grasshoppers, Malmo, and Hacken -1 (-125 local) -- I like the 1.5 as well obviously much better value but my local only posts one line for certain leagues so I had to pay the piper to make the play,, haha,,,

Just had a look at some reports, nothing significant shows that there would be any big factor affecting the odds movement, I remain firm with belief in Hacken (:
