Race 6, La Troienne Stakes: #4 Plum Pretty (4/5) over #1 Afleeting Lady (8/1)
Race 7: Eight Belles Stakes: Great betting race. Although #7 Contested is a solid favorite, the value in the race almost makes me play against her. #5 Volcat is going to get a wicked pace setup with at least half of the field wanting the lead, several of which has never attempted to carry their speed that far. Loved this horses closing efforts the last 2 out and you can never go wrong with McPeek/Leparoux at Churchill
#5 Volcat (12/1) Longshot play of the day
Race 8 Edgewood: #2 Stephanies Kitten (2/1) Needed her last at Keeneland and ran decent for chasing slow lone speed. 2-1 is fair value but I wouldn't play less than 8/5. I like #12 Dame Marie (8/1) in the exotics underneath
Race 9 Alysheba: #4 Mucho Macho Man (2/1) Possibly the best handicap horse in the nation right now. He seems to be getting better with every effort and faces a suspect bunch here. Looking at #1 Nate's Mineshaft to bounce of his latest effort, and I'm not sure how good Successful Dan still is after than long layoff. I like Apart and Fort Larned in the exotics.
Race 10: American Turf: #3 Star Channel (8/1)
Race 11: Kentucky Oaks #3 Summer Applause (15/1)
Horse is consistently improving and the pace setup will be perfect. She has enough pace to stay close enough early and enough late pace to kick past the tiring front runners and stalkers. 2 horses I am worried about are #8 Jemima's Pearl and #13 Amie's Dini.
Best of luck today everyone, I will be looking over some other cards and adding some spot plays from other tracks as the day progresses.

I had her in the Pick 5, I'm not one to bet short priced favorites, but that was a nice little tri for 3 bucks
On to the Oaks Pick 4... If Stephanie's Kitten and Mucho Macho Man get beat it's going to pay huge. While I do think they are tops in their respective races, anything can happen, and with a big pool I am going to go a little deeper than usual.
