Teheran (3-1) allowed five hits, one walk and struck out four over 8 1/3 innings, surrendering a solo home run to Josh Willingham in the ninth. Justin Upton and Juan Francisco each recorded a pair of hits to go along with Uggla’s eighth homer as Atlanta improved to 13-5 at home.

Justin Morneau collected a pair of hits for the Twins, who have dropped six straight. Minnesota starter Kevin Correia (4-4) allowed five runs on eight hits and did not strikeout a batter over four innings, losing for the third time in four starts.

Jason Heyward and Upton singled with one out to set the table in the first inning before Freddie Freeman delivered an RBI single. One out later, Uggla took a 1-0 pitch from Correia out to left field to break a 0-for-11 slump and give Atlanta a 4-0 lead.

Francisco doubled to lead off the fourth and scored on a sacrifice fly by Andrelton Simmons for a 5-0 lead. Teheran did not allow a hit between the fifth and eighth innings and threw a career-high 123 pitches while Cory Gearrin retired the final batter with two men on to earn his first career save.
