The crowning acheivement for Kobe as a Laker will be beating the Celtics. Lakers will win game 1 and 2 at Staples, they will win one at TD Waterhouse Garden and complete the beat down in Game 6 at Staples.
This is not the same two teams that played two years ago. Kobe will not let them lose, adding Bynum, Artest and a determined Kobe and Phil they will beat a inferior Celtic team from 2008. Pierce will not lead another 20+ come back and the biggest two differences for the Celtics are no Posey and Kobe will guard Rondo starting in game 1 not game 3 as he did in 2008.
Lakers will not lose at Staples and they will win 1 out of the 3 played in Boston.
Bottom line is Phil and Kobe will not let this chance slip away. The Lakers want the Celtics and they will show the Celtics that this team is far better then the 2008 team.

Here's a few keys to the series. Can Pau Gasol average 20 points per game and make a impact on the series? Can Ron Artest slow down and contain Paul P from getting to the lane and doing his thing? La needs to defend the 3 point line better, especially against Ray Allen. I also feel like Lamar Odom will play alot better considering how bad he played 3 years ago in this series. Odom can cause match up problems for R Wallace/k Perkins and Glen Davis because of his speed and versality out in the fst break. La needs to make obviously hold home court the first 2 games, Should be a great series, La in 7 games.

once upon a time there was this ugly duckling who was always made fun of
by the other duckling including the la lakers. he took a bottle of duck aspirin and blanked it
and he ended his blank. but it didnt end his blank. it turned out the ugly duckling later turn out to be pau gasol. he ended up winning an nba championship all on his own. passing and assisting to himself like no other. in the end , do not give up and always press forward.

Both teams played during the regular season and the visitors won by a mere 1 point. Based on that, even this game is for the championship, I'll still picking Boston plus 5 1/2 points and under 192.

Celtics will have a hard time defending the Lakers in the low post. The big three are so long ago. Lakers win in 5 games Ill take the points which stands at 5.5 some books at 6 by game time could be even higher. I have no reason to pick the Celtics. The matchups dont favor them what so ever.

the way i see it,if you look backwards at the trends from recent history in championship series, one fact stands out.l.a. will most likely win both games 1 and 2.boston will most likely cover in these games.anything short of a longshot blowout the historic trends will continue, another is the under is probably the best bet in these two games, following trend history once again,i find it difficult to imagine a high scoring affair here as both teams will have a certain amount of rust that they'll need to work off(once again history shows this)before we can expect an over to hit.usually i'm a skeptic when betting on trends, but, going against eight straight years of documented history gives pause.therfore i'm going with BOS/UNDER str, parlay and teaser game 1 med 'til we see if history bears out.
