Your ignorance amazes me.

not to jump in an argument that I have no business in,,but,,,Don Juan---you ARE aware that one of the unions had a multi-year organizing drive aimed primarily at organized undocumented workers.

DJ, you are attacking people personally while KOAJ has been backing up most if not all his claims with facts.
AVERAGE WORKERS are defined in your own subjective manner, which is fine.....but dont use the catch phrase to try to prove your points. If I make 110k /yr then by your definititon Im above average, but if I make 85k /yr, I am an average worker. By fitting people into categories, you limit your ability to make your point because of the wide variety of jobs and salaries out there.
Isnt Hyundai a South Korean make?
I thought HUAC was Head-Up-Ass-Committee
I bought a brand new home through William Lyons Homes 5 yrs ago. I'll bet you dollars to donuts that there were undocumented workers on the jobsite everyday (LA/Riverside/Orange Counties) Do I care? Not if the house is built properly and to code.
Unfortunately it has become "Foreclosure Central" in my area as many got into their a 550-600k "starter" home only to realize they couldnt keep up as their ARMs continued to rise. And many banks were pushing these loans thruogh on many people/families who either didnt have the provable income to afford it or they were undocumented people getting loans....
In my opinion, a first time homebuyer or a person looking for a starter home has no business buying a 600k home with nothing down, especialy if they are "average" like me.... 15 years ago, my "starter home" in Pasadena was 175k and I put 20% down. Sold it 7 years later and made 301k profit after agent fees and rolled it into a new house. So i still only have a 250k mortgage while my neighbors have a 6000k mortgage.
Do I care if my house has lost 250k in value? Not really, as I have no plans to move nor any plans refi or take money out. The cycles of the real estate market have been consistent over the last 40 years. The past 3 years have just been a little more pronounced because the government (notice Im not blaming a party) keeps trying to throw money at problems instead of letting ecomonic problems solve themselves over time. Companies with bad business models should be allowed to fail, because keeping them alive on life support will screw up the cycle of recovery.
Hondas and Toyotas are the top selling cars for a reason....not because there are so many asians buying them. Because they are mechanically sound, and a great car for the price. Pick up any Consumer Reports magazine and read the reliability ratings on these vehicles.

TILT,
I seriously doubt he has a conservative bonein his body. He's embarked on a mission to defend the poor middle and lower class "workers", as he sees the rest of us walking on their backs to enjoy society like Leisure World.
Sounds like the amodern day grapes of wrath....
