Tomorrow is yet another night with ZERO NHL games scheduled. I think this is the second or third time this year and its only November.
Anyone know if this is on purpose, and for what purpose?

I saw this saying because NHL wanted full slates on WED and FRI:
Maybe the teams were told that the NHL was going load up Wed and Fri. So, unless you wanted to guarantee a B2B situation with your team, you may opt to not submit a Tuesday date.
Van had a Sat home game and another on Mon. Edm is in the East. Cal had a home game on Sat and is doing a road trip this week. Tor & Ott were overseas. Win is in TB on Wed. Mon was in Bos on Sat, but in Cali on Wed.

But the one I really enjoyed was this one:
It's National Alienate Canadian Fans Week, which is the holiday the NHL takes most pride in each year.
Could the NHL schedule games between teams unaffected by US Thanksgiving considering even the war room is Canadian? Of course! Are there drawbacks considering we are told over and over that US fans aren't interested in watching Canadian teams? Likely not!
But fear not, they will schedule those Canadian teams to play during work hours on Friday to make up for it.
